ummmm.... Ati Video In Video Out... all that avivo means it has is basic video capture built into it. nothing to do with playback in any way shape or form. his problem is going to be codecs and the fact that he NEEDS more ram.

with the latest bios the 680i boards will take an 8000 or 7000 series 45nm dual core, ANY (quad or dual core) 6000 series 65nm chips.

Planning on buying a SATA DVD Burner

going to say, the ones with LS come with the software every time. the non LS ones are a 50/50 toss up. as far as them working, watch out for via chipsets that don't have the ability to incorporate the sata drives into the IDE selection (anything on socket A or A64 older than the K8T800)

1: welcome to michigan. where "saving jobs" means cutting corners and taking on under / non qualified staff. why pay someone twice as much who really knows vs paying someone the minimum to figure it out as they go? that's what's going on here. a $60k+ job elsewhere is only worth $30k here...

I just don't care for bashing the work. there ARE those of us in the field that work like it's fast food. The potential to earn is upto the person. we have 2 six figure a year salesmen in system sales that work in the same building. they rank #1 and 3 in chain. and they EARN it...

they were started by asus and sold off. and no they are NOT used in dell's. those are either low end foxconn or intel boards. and the problem with that, and all reviews is it's a first / short impression. my long term impression of asrock is horrible down the raod. I'm using an XFX...

you do have a point. however I just found out that asrock (and no I will NOT use an asrock) has got not only the 680i but the 650i working with the quad 45nm. any idea how they pulled this off? or is there any word on when evga (yes the board is made by evga for xfx) is going to pull off...

780 / 790i is a no go. have only seen BSOD's in xp and vista when using sata optical with sata raid running (have a pair of sata dvd-rw's a sata bluray burner and a sata bluray reader and raid 0 with 2 sata hdd's) switching out to single high end gpu isn't going to happen either. paid $150...

we got a whole 5 of them "in stock" at madison heights today via drop ship from intel. pretty pathetic when you store with the highest sales of cpu's in the chain gets a meer 5. they were gone in less than 20 minutes of hitting the showcase today.

no, it's "recertified". that means it went back to apple presumed to be defective, apple checked it once again and found it to be 100% working. I'd actually trust it more than a brand new off the line one. at least someone with some techincal understanding looked it over and tested it.

actually buffalo ram isn't a bad brand of ram. I'd put it as a tier 2 (not quiet corsair / crucial type) but much better than kingston or pny and hell of a lot better than a-data (the lexmark of ram)

I've heard that the lastest bios (even per XFX and EVGA) that this is supposed to work. I updated my bios with an e2160, I tested the chip in an ip35 pro from abit (no I will NOT use that god awful board)... yet it will not post with the e8400. specs: e8400 4gb corsair...

each store should have gotten thier drop ship of 200 more as of monday. madison heights has 218 in stock as of tonight. also have 2 e8400's :) hehehe, customers returned saying they were defective, sent to intel and verified good, tested in the shop at the store for 24 hour burn in...

there is no official rule on extra purchases. madison heights did have a contest for employees to see who could have the most attachments of nod32 with q6600's. unfortunately as a member of the "sales support" team I didn't count. but it did get us to sell smarter and attach correctly...
