Anandtech 90nm vs 130nm A64 review

oh yeah, did anyone else notice that the .090 CPU's use 1.510v while the older .130 CPUS use 1.472v - does this imply that the new CPUs draw less current at a higher voltage in order to use less watts? Or is this a typo? See what I'm talking about here on the CPUID screencaps. thx again

MESSAGE TO EVERYONE ABOUT CREDIT CARDS It is bad to max them out, as a rule of thum NEVER use more than half of your available balance on a credit card. Maxing a credit card out DOES show up on your Credit Report!! be wary

I haven't done physics in over 4yrs, but it seems pretty straightforward, just set up your equations to equal eachother and solve for her mass, you'll find stuff will cancel out. I'm sorry man, I don't believe in giving answers, but after you figure out the right equation it becomes easy. good...

Moving to Chicago - where's a nice place to live?

My gf is moving to Chicago and I am trying to help her out with where to live and all. She will be making $38,000 or so, will be alone there as far as I know. Has washer and drier, furniture (quite a bit of it), school loans to pay off and probably even a car payment by the time she goes up...

Hacking question

Ummm, the DSL modem is (for the sake of simplicity) an adapter which takes the DSL signal and converts it to ethernet, your modem does not have an IP address, it only has a MAC address. If anyone were hacking your modem they would have to use the MAC address to do it, and if that's the case...

can't resize a window.... help!

try what sephiroth says, sometimes it is not maximized - yet still is the same size - you can tell by looking at t he bottom right, drap your cursor over it, and if you get the tell-tale adjust cursor then you are set, otherwise - I have run across this before, somehow, and I have no clue how...

i get a boot error, and after i restart repeatedly..it's fine...but it happens all the time..

I've had an old rig not boot up ~'unable to find bootable device' once, one reboot later and it was running. seems it did it a couple more times, then work again, only to die shortly after

same thing, the PSU makes it's noise and then nothing, of course the CPU fan does not twitch. I plugged in a vid card and the fan on the vidcard twitches. I must note that I need to cycle, or rest the PSU in order to get any of the fans to twitch. As a side note, the new PSU's green and...

OK! I tested the new PSU (Truepower 430w) which I bought just the other day from BB, and I could not get it to start up by shorting pin 14 with a ground, even with pins 7&8 shorted as well. My old powersupply (Enermax whisper 431w) started right up when I shorted pin 14 with a ground. I...
