E8400 or Q9450

I have both, the 8400 in my Gaming System, and the 9450 in my Server. For general computer use and gaming, I don't think you will notice much of a difference between the two. I would get the 8400 since it is much cheaper. The 9450s are also priced alot higher then what it should be, because...

GA-EP35-DS3R Chipset HC Hot To Touch

Yea its stock voltages. The Q9450's heatsync isn't hot to the touch at all.

GA-EP35-DS3R Chipset HC Hot To Touch

I finally got my Q9450 in, and just got my GA-EP35-DS3R system up and running. While I was removing the Fantastically designed fan wires from my Intel Heatsync/Fan, I noticed the chipset heatsync is very hot. I can't touch it from more then a sec without burning my finger. Is this normal?

Vsync ON == Mouse Lag!

Forget about VSYNC and turn up the refresh rate on your LCD, turn it up as high as you can. After increasing the refresh rate on my LCD from 60 to 75hz, I no longer needed to use VSYNC to get rid of tearing. Here is a good read on VSYNC: Vsync

Motherboard for E8400

I am running this motherboard with my E8400: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L It required no bios update and is a great motherboard for the money. I am running 2 gigs of PC800 DDR2 underclocked to 667 to match the FSB of the processor. I also have a 9600GT. I love this setup!! I get 60FPS on...

Awesome! I will try that. I am used to keeping Vsync off because back in the day it caused a slight delay in my mouse movements.
