If I remember right, the fine print says that unless you cancel the subscription, it will be shipped and billed to you efter you recieve your trial issue.

Amd states multipliers LOCKED on production chips. that sucks.

According to the Anandtech review of the FIC mobo today, there will be a way to change the multiplier on the Duron chips.

Abnormally High Temps

My 600E@901 ran smoothly at 28 degrees C. with a GlobalWin VOS32, great cooler, would recommend it to everyone with any Slot processor.

Does anyone else hate the ads on web pages...

need to overclock 700 cb0 on BXMaster but have too much generic ram what should i keep?

Most PC100 RAM will only do 120, but I have a 128 mb stick of Toshiba RAM running stable at 150... mobo won't run higher

When you have a cable modem.. software internet sharing or hardware?

Want to transfer saved games in HalfLife and UT to new hard drive

I had the same problem a few months ago. If I remember right, the saved games for UT are in the user.cfg file, which I think is in the system folder, but I could be wrong. Just in case, take most the configuration files, becuase I'm sure it is in one of them. Good luck.

Uhm.....am I missing something? Isn't the V5 5500 out?

Piku's got point there. I bet that if you combined all the Geforce or TNT2 card, I'm sure they would out sell the Voodoo's by quite some margin.

heh, i went to Fry's yesterday, and sitting there with the other processor stickers was a PIII-1Ghz sticker, with price listed as $1,999. Me thinks though that it wasn't in stock

Result of overclocking?

I had a similar experience. I was overclocking a P3-500 and after Win2K crashed, it tried rebooting but said that the file "NTOS" or someting was corrupted. I was able to get around by simply booting into Win98 and copying the corrupted file from another comp. to damaged comp.

Would Win2000 increase my system performance compared to Win98Se?

Win2K is a lot more stable than Win98SE ever was for me. I have about 1/3 the crashes, and the performance with my comp, almost identical with yours (P3-500, 128 meg RAM, 13.6 gig Maxtor HDD, TNT Ultra, Cable modem, SBlive X-gamer), was the same if not better with Win2K. Your RAM shoud make up...
