DPC cause Dnet proxy blockage! (Anyone surprised?)

illkid, that could be a big problem for those who have clients running on machines without internet access, wich I believe is the case for quite a few people around ...... A colleage of mine use to work in a "secure" environment, in wich he had permission to run the client on 25...

How often are RC5 stats updated?

Normaly the stats-run is processed every night, this take's a few hours. Unfortunately D-net is having some problem's with their proxy-servers :( at this moment (see also the other thread in this forum), at this moment yesterday's run isn't completed yet :(

Overclocking on the MSI 694D pro Dual socket 370 with P3-600

Reapr, I bought one MSI board myself a month ago, together with 2 PIII700. They are now running fine at 933, after two whole days of trying, i'm running the RC5 client on it, it goes 5.5MKeys now ... :) There are a few considerations about this board : - Be sure you use the latest BIOS...

What is Raid?

Techwhore, there are different reasons for choosing a specific level : RAID 0 is increasing performance, but when one disk brake's up it's over RAID 1 is mirroring, so each disk needs another one to be mirrored to, it increases performance, and if one of the disk's fails you still can work, but...

Where can I buy guranteed o'clocked PIII's, 550E and up?

Sometime's I by things from www.overclockers.co.uk, they do sell proc's with guranteed o'clocking. It's in the UK, but they do deliver all over the world ( I live in the Netherlands, most exciting overclocking stuff has to be bought in other coutry's .... :( )

Duron 650 - simple question, easy answer?

AceT, on the same clockspeed, the "classic" Athlon performs a tiny bit bether than the Duron, buth given the fact that the overclock-capability of the Duron is better than the Athlon, the Duron would be my choice ..... For comparising between Duron, Thunderbird, Celeron II and PIII...

celeron 300a and NEW bx motherboard

Kavrok, I don't know why not. I got an even older one, the celeron 266 and that one has been able to run on BH6 1.0, BE6-2, and I also saw it working fine (at 400 Mhz) on the Asus CUBX, so I think the BXmaster won't be a problem. btw, on the MSI USA page (...

how fast can an abit bh6 go?

Mine is also running with the QN bios, revision 1.0, Cuppermine 650E@810 without any problems (installed it in just 2 minutes ...). A friend of mine is running a PIII 700E, also revision 1.0, QN bios ..
