Second that, there's nothing to do with OS 32 or 64bit. MS's windows 2003 server 32bit can use more than 32G, even 32 bit XP sp1 can use all 4GB. Not to mention 32bit Linux can use more than 32G for long time. I've tested 4G limitation on 4coredual SATA2 with 2*2G ram. Even 64bit windows XP...

Hi there: With Bios 2.20a on 4coredual-SATA2, I currently have a Seagate 1.5T (yeah, the notorious 11th gen, I did RTM it after 11 months because of bad clusters but it works) and a Hitachi 2T on it, simultaneously. I don't used RAID. No HD recognition or capacity problems so far.

Hlafordlaes, farewell and take good care! Just got a Hitachi 2T and E7600, up and running normal at default/auto clock on 4core-dual-sata2. But Speccy report 1 core at 41C and the other is 51C, is it normal? By the way, does anybody know if 4coredual-sata2 support AMD Radeon HD 5770 or 5750...

I understand newer R0 stepping CPU has some sort of VTx capabilities, but does any of our BIOS support CPU virtualization function? I thought XP mode takes all three (BIOS/CPU/BIOS) supports to run.

I am suspecting my PSU is dying but I don't know what's correct 3.3v reading. The reading of HWmonitor 1.14 shows 3.3V is about 3.0v and Vaux is about 3.3v but the reading of Everest 5.02 shows 3.3V is about 3.3v, which one is correct? There are no AUX in the spec of W83697HF, and Vin...

Hey good news about hard drives on Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 Rev1(with BIOS 2.10a&4GB DDR2+E1200+FX5700/AGP) I put TWO Seagate 1.5T on it (ST31500341AS and ST31500343AS), and both of them work simultaneously in non-raid mode, I didn't tried raid mode. For those who are in need of more space...

A question here: Does that mean 2.13a didn't support instant boot as 2.12b? While Asrock's advertising instant boot like crazy, is that instant boot practical on this old motherboard?

This is NOT OS limitation, I tried it with MS windows server advanced (w/ PAE) and 64bit Ubuntu w/ server kernel and still got ~3.25gb in both OS. The limitation is the chipset of this motherboard--VIA® PT880 Pro/PT880 Ultra , it only address up to 4GB and still need room to map other system...

I am very sure that it is the limitation of the VIA chipset. I used Ubuntu AMD64 distribution and the system still reported only 3.x GB. By the way, does anybody know if this motherboard support ATI/AMD 4670?

http://www.via.com.tw/en/produ...mparison_p4-series.jsp Look at the VIA website and you will find the max memory that 880 can support is 4GB, so even if it could handle two 2GB ram module at the same time and display 4GB in BIOS, under any OS (even in the 64 bit) it won't provide 4GB USABLE...
