    Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 + ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA + ASRock 775Dual-VSTA

Second that, there's nothing to do with OS 32 or 64bit. MS's windows 2003 server 32bit can use more than 32G, even 32 bit XP sp1 can use all 4GB. Not to mention 32bit Linux can use more than 32G for long time. I've tested 4G limitation on 4coredual SATA2 with 2*2G ram. Even 64bit windows XP...

I am using ASRock 4CoreDual-SATA2 Rev 1.0 and running E7600 without any problems. As long as you update your BIOS there won't be any problems. Please go to the following threads about your motherboard. http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=53947 (closed)...

I emailed Asrock and asked if ATI/AMD HD5700 would work on my 4coredual-sata2, they said: And I asked again why under 4coredual-sata2's official VGA support list, the highest chip supported is only Radeon HD4870 instead of 57xx? They replied:

Hi there: With Bios 2.20a on 4coredual-SATA2, I currently have a Seagate 1.5T (yeah, the notorious 11th gen, I did RTM it after 11 months because of bad clusters but it works) and a Hitachi 2T on it, simultaneously. I don't used RAID. No HD recognition or capacity problems so far.

    Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 + ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA + ASRock 775Dual-VSTA

Hlafordlaes, farewell and take good care! Just got a Hitachi 2T and E7600, up and running normal at default/auto clock on 4core-dual-sata2. But Speccy report 1 core at 41C and the other is 51C, is it normal? By the way, does anybody know if 4coredual-sata2 support AMD Radeon HD 5770 or 5750...

    Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 + ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA + ASRock 775Dual-VSTA

    1. For system total usable memory: 32 bit XP/sp1 or eairlier (not sp2 or 3) support 4GB. 32bit windows server 2003 support more than that. 32bit Linux also support 64GB if Himemory on. And of course all current 64bit OS support more than 4GB. 2. In addition to the BIOS, the addressing...

I understand newer R0 stepping CPU has some sort of VTx capabilities, but does any of our BIOS support CPU virtualization function? I thought XP mode takes all three (BIOS/CPU/BIOS) supports to run.

    Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 + ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA + ASRock 775Dual-VSTA

Hi Hlafordlaes: Thanks a lot for your suggestion, I don't overclock anything on this old motherboard -- E1200+4GBram, not even voltage settings in the bios, every setting is left default/auto. (I do plan to upgrade to E7600 though). In my BIOS that's what I read: Vcore:1.322v, 3.3 is...

    Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 + ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA + ASRock 775Dual-VSTA

I am suspecting my PSU is dying but I don't know what's correct 3.3v reading. The reading of HWmonitor 1.14 shows 3.3V is about 3.0v and Vaux is about 3.3v but the reading of Everest 5.02 shows 3.3V is about 3.3v, which one is correct? There are no AUX in the spec of W83697HF, and Vin...

Hey good news about hard drives on Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 Rev1(with BIOS 2.10a&4GB DDR2+E1200+FX5700/AGP) I put TWO Seagate 1.5T on it (ST31500341AS and ST31500343AS), and both of them work simultaneously in non-raid mode, I didn't tried raid mode. For those who are in need of more space...

    Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2

A question here: Does that mean 2.13a didn't support instant boot as 2.12b? While Asrock's advertising instant boot like crazy, is that instant boot practical on this old motherboard?

It's my fault that I didn't show the available and free memory screen dump, and didn't show you the 3GB and vga3070 switches. However, the XP does NOT need physical memory to map the memory for video card and yes XP SP1 can use all my full 4GB, since the 965 chip on my T61 can address beyond...

    Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2

Microsoft cut the support of 4G ram after 32bit-XP/SP2. Here I use IBM/Lenovo T61 with 4G ram to show you how 32 bit XP Pro/sp1 supported 4G before (not in SP2 or SP3). I cannot find 32 bit XP home for test now, but Microsoft apply the SAME memory support to all version of XP (all XP version...

This is NOT OS limitation, I tried it with MS windows server advanced (w/ PAE) and 64bit Ubuntu w/ server kernel and still got ~3.25gb in both OS. The limitation is the chipset of this motherboard--VIA® PT880 Pro/PT880 Ultra , it only address up to 4GB and still need room to map other system...

    Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2

I am very sure that it is the limitation of the VIA chipset. I used Ubuntu AMD64 distribution and the system still reported only 3.x GB. By the way, does anybody know if this motherboard support ATI/AMD 4670?

I'd like to upgrade CPU and memory on my Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 (NOT 2.0, mine is the old one), flashed with BIOS v1.90, with 1G DDR+Celeron-420. Very appreciate if anybody can see if my upgrade plan is feasible. If I didn't read incorrectly, that's what I am going to do: 1. Buy two 2GB...
