I have two 4coredualsata motherboards, and am getting some memory errors with my Crucial Ballistix Tracer ddr2 memory (2-1G sticks). Typically the errors occur after some period of use of the machine, so I surmised that it was perhaps a heat related issue, however, case temps are not a problem...

Anyone had a CMOS checksum error on powerup, and found that all board settings have been reset upon entering cmos setup, yet clock is unchanged and still accurate? This has happened to me twice with my 4coredualsata board.

Could be poor connection, could be voltage droop. My calculations based on the voltage regulator's data sheet suggest about .1 v increase for each 40k-50k of resistance added for R-offset, so 100k would result in an increase of a little more than .2 volts. I have a 100k ohm potentiometer...
