By the way, I'm using the latest bios from the website and also using cpu-z to read vcore. same...1.44-1.48

Asus P5gd2 vcore voltage question

I select 1.385 for vcore voltage in bios, But it actually reads anywhere from 1.44-1.48 using Asus Probe and/or bios. This is a P4 520. Why is this?

Dell Inspiron 600M VS Inspiron 6000

I've used both machines. For web surfing, 600m is fine. It's fairly powerful for other apps as well and portable too. It's an all around good laptop. If you need more desktop space, 6000 widescreen is a plus but portability is reduced. Personally, I think the 6000 is more a desktop replacement.

cd writer not working!

I have an Artec cd writer (model wsm-52x) that used to work just fine until now! It reads just fine but when ever I try to burn it would fail, error message "burn failure!." I'm running XP Pro with diffrent burning programs (nero,etc) with various medias. Any suggestions? And yes, ASPI layer is...

Urgent, need info on refurbished items on newegg.com

Hey hans, how do you like your soltek? Does it offer any overclocking at all? Is it a quality, stable board? So far, the only place that carry them is here but kind of pricey..compared with other boards. Anyway, cool looking silver color PCB. Any reviews on this?

Why sis645/DX/648 over 845?

What would be some reasons for 6xx over 845 other than the price factor? Is it more stable than 845? Performance wise? Any comment is appreciated.

Strange problem..

Using 1.6a w/ stock HSF on a Epox 4bda. Problem is when I close the clip levers into the retention mechanism, the computer boots up for only a few seconds and shuts off! Another words, when the HSF is place on top of the processor without locking the clip levers its just fine~! My guess is that...

8250i recognized as 'ide cdr/rw 4/4/24'?

I have HP 8250i, and the system(both in bios and win98 and ezcd) would only recognize the cdr/cdrw as 'ide-cd r/rw 4/4/24x'. Shouldn't it state as 'CD writer plus 8250i' or something similar? Is this normal? Does it affect in any way with burning cds?

help me connect my 2nd computer~!
