I'm a female and it happens to me, too... just one singular hair that is dark and long in a really obscure place? no big deal, kinda weird, but common I'm sure
I've bathed both my kitties at the same time before. They're pretty good. They try to escape, but don't typically scratch. I end up drenched and soapy, and covered in cat hair, but never injured. Just depends on your cat.
