Finally got around to picking up BSG season 4.5 and finishing it.

Good series. My all time favorite is Babylon 5. An epic masterpiece. Although Season 5 was the weakest due to all worry cancellation.

Extra flu shots? any benefit?

I got the shot 4 weeks ago and no side effects other than a few hours of minor soreness in my arm. The flu sucks and never want it again.

It was a miscarriage. You only decorate a nursery when you are expecting a baby, not trying for one. Not really the point. Expected something else. My bad assuming it was going to be more enjoyable for small children.

5 minutes into "Up"...

Movie sucked for me. Brought my 5 and 3 yr old and they wanted to know what happened to the baby (miscarriage). Then wanted to know why the "momma" died. Didn't want some heavy questions while on vacation. Kind of pissed me off.

For me the turning point around here were the Wounded Monitor Children. Pissed because mom's allowance wasn't enough to buy a 17 inch Hitachi CRT at a rational price for the time.

Oldest Game Still Playing

Caught a wave of nostaglia this weekend and fired up Wing Commander on an old computer that I kept that still runs DOS/Win 95. That game is still very playable and enjoyable despite the graphics. It was revolutionary for its time. I also enjoy playing Star Wars Rebellion (> than 10 yrs old)...

Am I the only one who thinks a full scale land war in Afghanistan would be the next Vietnam?

ONE MAJOR DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are not afraid of escalation with another Superpower. In Vietnam, we had to worry about the Chinese and of course the Soviet Union. AFGHANISTAN will largely stand alone.
