Still no cancellation email from them as of yet. My order was actually processed within an hour of purchase and have been waiting for tracking ever since. Hopefully I will get a reply from my email stating it has been canceled or what is going on with the orders that were processed that day.
Yeah, I will hit 48 hours after my order was processed at 1:00PM Central so I am not feeling too good about this. Will be making a call once I get back from my class this afternoon. I will let you guys know what they say about it.
Anyone have any updates on their shipping status? Mine still says my order has been processed and I am waiting for my tracking #. No signs of shipment as of yet.
So far so good. Emailed support and was informed my item should ship today or tomorrow. Nothing about any cancellations, but you know how support can be sometimes.
I'll be happy camper if I get that tracking # email :) No cancellation of the Electronica Direct orders yet. If the items happen to ship and this is in fact an error, do they have any actions they could take on the orders?
Purchased over 2 1/2 hours ago and only thing I have seen is that my order has been processed. P.S. No cashback via PayPal so people who check out that way might have to email Live.com for a cashback claim after 2 days.
Does paypal work with the cashback program on Electronica Direct? I just saw your edit, nefarious. I really hope the paypal does give us the cashback. Like you said, even without it, it's a hot deal.
I don't know about you guys but I have this mouse and have used it heavy for over a year and I love it. If you guys say it sucks then I MUST try out a mouse that you guys recommend!
That's a pretty impressive score there. Most I got with my system at 790/1100 with a 4870 was 9395. Seems like my score was pretty low for being overclocked to where it was.
I tried to switch cards without uninstalling drivers and it did not work. I removed everything via the uninstall program from ATI drivers and did a clean install. I didn't wipe the drivers, though, as it caused an install problem. Just uninstall everything, install card, and install the...
Good point to bring up nRollo. Need to get the head out of the hardware sometimes and look at the other things that matter besides having a top notch piece of equipment that is constantly being outdated. An update to what I am looking at currently is the 4870 black edition, gtx 260 vanilla or...
yeah, the fact that something is always around the corner is very true. I have finally come to terms with the fact that whatever we buy now will only be outdone by another card in around 6 months or so. Right now I think I am leaning to just waiting until the end of August and seeing how the...
I am definitely into gaming. I play a lot of the popular titles out now(crysis, grid, cod4, utIII, wic, etc) and love to crank the eye candy up as far as I can. I prefer to run games at 19x12 when possible, also.
Hey everyone,
I am currently without a video card in my system. I have a laptop that I have been using, but preferably enjoy my desktop. I am a college student who tries to maintain a budget for times when a computer upgrade is needed, but would like to be very reasonable with the...
What it looks like I will do after going over all of your input is buy a "filler" card until the 4870x2 comes out. At that time, I'll just compare all of the mentioned cards for my setup and go for the one that will offer the best performance for when I upgrade my monitor to 24" @ 19x12. I...
Thanks for all of the advice. So far it seems that the 4870 is the card to go with for the time. What are your views on waiting a month to get the 4870X2? Since I plan on upgrading my monitor do you think the x2 is worth the wait?
I am currently without a GPU for the listed setup in my sig. I am looking to get as much advice as I can on what the best purchase for this setup. I would like to go without having to upgrade for at least a year or so and play even the most demanding games at their max settings. I would say...
I would definitely invest in the cpu upgrade first. Then while you are saving up for the gpu(if you have to save, that is) a lot of non-reference version HD4000s will hit the market with better cooling and overclocking ability.
Looks like I will just hold on to my HD4870 and skip out on the 4870x2 after reading this. I can definitely wait for the refresh to see what Nvidia can do after ATI surprised us all.
This is from vr-zone.com:
Nvidia: DirectX 10.1, GDDR5 and a Dual-Chip in 1Q/2009?
Quote:
TG-Daily informs that Nvidia will implementate DirectX 10.1 in the first quarter 2009. And for this time GDDR5 is an option, too.
Besides it looks like Nvidia prepares a Dual-Chip to fight against...
Your SM 3.0 score is just slightly lower than mine when I ran my HD4870 at stock clocks (around 7050 or so). Speed up the fan on the card and overclock it for some good gains. Overclocks easily to the max in CCC and stays fairly cool depending on the fan speed %.
500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connectors recommended (600 Watt and four 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX? technology in dual mode) for the 4870
450 Watt or greater power supply with 75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express power connector recommended (550 Watt and...
keep checking ZZF, they are in stock at intervals, so it seems. I was checking on the site just to see if I could manage to get another if they show up in stock again and they did, but couldn't catch it in time.
