Man, I'm debating waiting for the FTW version of the 680's, or picking up the Dual X Sapphire 7970, and overclocking the hell out of that for my U3011.
I love this monitor, but my 6850 CF is struggling.
Saratoga, have you tried any other games yet? Curious how they are.
Thx for your posts...
I have an E8400 at 3.6.
Running 6850/6870 xfire.
Played on low settings at 1920x1200.
Was barely smooth, and struggled to stay at 30 frames.
There were only 3 options for graphics. Low, medium, and high.
Medium and high weren't playable.
Just my personal experience.
If i wasn't buying an...
All I know is that at 1920x1200 it didn't run smooth.
I have an E8400 at 3.5 and a 6850/6870 crossfire setup.
Averaged around 25fps on LOW settings.
That game isn't optimized obviously, but a new computer is needed for sure.
The lady got the flu on Monday night. I have Tuesday-Wednesday off every week and got it Tuesday night and took the next 3 days off from work. Went to work today and still don't feel quite normal. Silly flu...haven't had it for 10 years. Feel better!
I'm West Coast, and we're getting Yankees. Lame. But I'm a huge Phillies fan and I hate when Fox covers the games. I have MLB at Bat for a reason, but can't watch every game I guess.
What card would everyone recommend for a new computer build?
Will be running Vista 64. Budget 40ish or cheaper.
I'm getting mixed reviews reading on the internet.
Thank you!
Can someone link me to a cable extender?
I've been looking on Newegg, and I'm not sure which one to get.
I don't see any 24 pin extenders for less than $16.
So with all that hardware, the only accessory I would need to build the computer would be an extender?
I just want to make sure I have...
Ok. Thx Rogue. I'm going to go with the E8400, and save $50 on the combo.
I'm going to purchase 2 SATA cables as I'm told I'll need at least one for the DVD drive.
Are there any other little things or accessories I'm forgetting?
We're adding a card reader to the list, and a keyboard.
Thx...
1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Gaming, Movies, Office Work, Graphic Design
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts...
