You know that it will all be built in and working great very soon. It's evolution. Think about it, where did smart phones come from? I personally like my Samsung and all it can do without needing a separate device.
I did just get one of these last week and it has all the Samsung info AND it says Barracuda on it too. I didn't do any performance testing at least its working. Hopefully it will hold up. I have two originals from 2 years ago that are still kicking butt!

Im not positive but I think from what I've read these dont recover their performance as well as the Pro verson or the OCZ Vector after they have had a lot of writes.

Nope, not if you are not having any issues. I was having some lock up issues that I think it has fixed. My chip is still the same chip no matter what and 4.4GHz is the sweet spot no matter what happens with the mobo. Anything after 4.4GHz and its big bumps in volts and heat. Maybe someone else...

I just upgraded to 1.5 BIOS. Voltages are different now. The BIOS voltage matches much better now to CPUz. But, now its dropping significantly during load where before barely changed and I think it went up if I'm not mistaken. Time to readjust my OC.

Dont knock it till you try it! I have much test data showing the performance of these two Samsungs in every config possible and this is NOT useless. I would not have the benefits of both RAID types without buying two more drives.
