Guess we should have gotten a new vacuum sooner

Bought a new vacuum cleaner for $200. Some hoover cyclonic bagless thing. It's a beast. When I first used it just in the living room upstairs, it picked up a HUGE amount of dirt. Filled up the entire container in a minute. Picks up everything.

There are much better sources for news than ATOT. Visit an actual news site like BBC or even one of those news aggregators like Digg and Reddit. Nah, no advantage.

Avatar - IMAX 3D vs Digital 3D?

The different between the two is just the size of the screen. Digital 3D is the normal size, and IMAX is well... IMAX. I saw it in IMAX 3D and liked it. Yeah stuff in the background was blurry... But that's what happens in most movies. You focus on the face, and the background is blurry...

Lasik surgery, yea or nay? What do you know about it.

There was a Lasik thread on here just a few weeks back. From what I remember, just about everyone who had Lasik done left positive comments in the topic. Some people complained about starburst issues or dry eyes, but said that it all went away with time. But, there were a couple of horror...

Have you found the longevity of CFLs to be over-hyped?

You're not supposed to use them in certain areas. Some of the CFLs are not supposed to be used in closed or recessed fixtures.

How difficult is it to change a thermostat?

Look on Youtube, there are some decent videos there. I replaced the one at home with a programmable digital thermostat. Took me like an hour or so, but I'm not a handy person at all.

In the end, you'll want that chunk of rock to swing down and do the work for you. So figure out how'd you'd make it do that. Look at the connection points. Also, the grooves in the ice are sort of like the cut points.
