I remember one weekend just shortly after the launch of EQ, where I played the entire weekend leading into spring break '99. 2 1/2 days straight. And it didnt matter cause I had nothing going on and nowhere to go. I wasnt alone in my social circle when it came to playing the game. I remember...
Yes you can still crossfire them.
The last part of this is true. Crossfire will only run at the lower of the cards in the setup. So, if you can only get one to unlock, may as well just switch it back to the a 6950 and boost the OC.
Well well. I havent played in a long time, *just over a year*. I had called it quits at level 65 because thats when my friends on the server bailed for a different game. So now I am on a server without anyone i know, and not the top level of play. And now the game feels alot different that...
Lets see.
Same as a 5870? """"Where are you getting that? At what resolution? DX10 or DX11? Is this an average across all games that you have seen benchmarks on? Is this the stock version or OC'd version you are talking about? Which drivers were used in these benchmarks?""""
Let's...
have you tired any other games? Are you running afterburner so you can make sure that its not staying at the 157 / 300 clocks. It sounds like its staying at the low voltages.
I'm missing out on what page this information is hiding on.
How do you set it to run in dx9? I want to compare performance from dx9 - dx11.
Or at least tell me what page its on.
My thought here would be an issues of the 3d clocks and idle. I know when I am only using one monitor and my car idles at 157/300 my idel clocks are REALLY low, but when I'm using all 3 monitors and crossfire, my idle clocks at 400/800 are alot higher.
So maybe their card isnt downclocking...
Removing my recommendation because from when I posted to reading to the bottom of the post creates a different view of what he is really looking for.
It seems like you are on course for a full system update!
I would get a brand new 920 for that price, you could even buy a 5770 or new video card or 2 wd 640 blacks or some other goodie insteam of worrying about everything that did or did not happen to that cpu
Yeah, and while the OCZ i offered isnt perfect, its a good enought PSU to travel with him for a few years at least. I mean that corsair IS an awesome PSU, but not so much so that I think he should sacrifice the opportunity to get his 4770.
And I think your wrong if you think that the 4670 is...
Ok to say the least you MIGHT be running a little low. However,

Yes, these are 512's but i only looked up one review. I dont know what reso you are playing on, but it makes a diff. Your looking at a min of 30fps is what you SHOULD...
Very true.
I would rather watch old people playing shuffle board then I would partake in something Jack Black takes part of.
However, Tim Schafer is pretty damn nice.
SIGH
yeah, lets seem some pics. I got a weird feeling its not quiet as bad as its lead on to be.
However, this now gives you an excuse to hit it with a rattlecan just to get that oozing spraylook.
What im wondering is why 90cfm is the breaking point here? 70 is alot, but i mean if you only got one fan exhausting, I could see it making a pretty big diff.
And .... THIS .... is why he's intimidated about PSU's. I mean you could get some 450ishW psu, but I just reccomended that 600W because, its pretty good for the cash he's paying, and it would still allow him to get the 4770 he WANTED to get. Thats what I was shooting for.
Edit
However, I...
You're all very misinformed. This game is NOT cell shaded. Its a filter put over the game engine. And yes this game looks amazing. Day one purchase for me. Glad it comes out after Wind7, so I don't have to install / format /install.
Im always up for a good new candy, however the established brands are just that, BRANDS. You dont really need to advertise a Baby Ruth anymore. Same way as though even though they DO, they dont need to advertsie Coke/Pepsi.
However, I had most candy I loved as a kid. They dont really use...
Yeah nice choice on vid card for the budget. However, the PSU AND vid card at the price is going to be tricky.
PSU

That would/could be excellent for you. just act soon to save that extra cash
Yeah, raising your CPU might have helped. It didn't. Sorry to say that Crysis is a pretty bad mofo to run. It's not yourhardware dood.... its the game.
I would do it if I had the dedication. However about the licensing fee. If Nvidia made it so I could pay them 5 bucks or whatever the fee is so I knew I could sli my board w/o the BS. If I could I would.
But, it's not even an option for me. So how can I "steal" something that they are...
Waiting for the review from here, and also hardwarecanucks. I am buying one when it comes out, but you know.... benchies and everything get me all worked up.
Considering this seems to be the biggest card available on the market, i wonder if any of the reviews will have a list of cases it...
I will buy the first 5870 i can find under 400. ZZF / Newegg /fry's / whatever. Hey faxon. Could you scrounge up some PLU's for the 5870's from frys so I can check on delivery information.
That would be prime
I would reccomend hardwarecanucks.com for a comparesion of a lot of 275's and 4890's. They compare 275s to 275s and 4890 to 4890. Id give you the link but I'm on my mobile. However, I love my eVGA 275, and the optional backplate really makes a huge difference keep the card cool
I got 8GB. Love it. Never have issues attached to memory. Itunes, EVGA Precision, Firefox, CoreTemp, Everest, Steam and Mass Effect, and all without any issues. Never going back to anything less than 8GB
I would go XFX. I've always been under the impression that they make better cards, and if they cost less, then yeah; go for the XFX. Depending on where you live you should be able to see if they can decide if there is an issue with CCC. I cant speak with direct experience for ATI cards recently.
So I have rig oc'd. I am going to go from 4gb to 8gb. Traditionally how does this effect the stability of the oc? What should I do to the the stability? Back off the oc a bit? More V to ram?
What should I be on the look out for?
I installed the latest drivers for the card the night i installed Win 7. x64 drivers and x64 Win7.
... ill check the default sound, but I dont believe I saw anything for a webcam when I was poking around on there last night.
