What is the best Security Suite these days?

There is talk that MSE/Forefront will be integrated in Windows 8. I think MS should have done it a long time ago (make it a critical download on Windows Update) and kill off Defender.

Choices for server build?

Conflicting opinions as I feared. Is it easy to undervolt the Q6600 (mobo is Abit IP35 Pro). I would hate for it to sit unused since it cost a lot more than the Athlon, and I haven't really had any luck selling it, so I'm leaning towards it.

Sound Card for new build - Yes or No?

I'm not sure how the quality compares to a dedicated card, but you can set ffdshow to covert analog to digital out. I've done this and the results were quite good.

For digital audio sources (DD 5.1, DTS), using SPDIF means pass-trhu, so a sound card gets bypassed and is of no help.

UEFI Boot - Is it worth it?

Windows install is same whether you have UEFI or Bios, but UEFI has a number of advantages.

Thanks, good to know. I read on the other Asus thread that people have been turning off the Jmicron controller, BT etc on the Prop boards to speed up the boot, and there are some dual boot issues with Asus? Will be putting together my build very soon.

Does google music actually back-up my music?

It's designed as a service that lets you access your current music on other devices, not as cloud storage or backup. I wish it did that though.

Received new $5000 PC Build.

You seem to very forgiving. If I paid $5k (a hell of a lot of money) for a watercooled rig and it was so loud it had to go in another room, the least I'd do is demand my money back. Everything except the video card should be silent since you paid for silent fans.

About to install Win7 64 Pro on 64GB SSD. Want to make install as small as possible.
