I hope they don't include the anti glare coating that's on the iPad Air 2s. I'll still play FC4 on the pc but play Infinity Blade 3 on the 6.

iPhone 5S/5C thread

I went into the AT&T store where I live at 10am. There was no line. Transactions were brisk. Plenty of Black and White models. The Gold was never delivered so they say. So I placed an order for a 32GB Gold 5S; will get delivered in 3 weeks. No hurry.

I started PC gaming with these. Aces over the Pacific SWOTL and expansion packs Aces Over Europe Some newer games: MOHAA and expansion packs CoD + expansion, CoD2 Brothers in Arms 1, 2; didn't try 3 Battle 1942 + free maps (Battle of Britain, Invasion of the Philippines)

New Gaming Laptop - Anyone with Asus experience

It's better to have the faster gpu. Have you considered the 15" Asus G50VT-X2? ASUS G50VT-X2 Really tempted to jump on this. Too bad I still have an Asus G1-S with a sub-par 8600GT :(

Creative audio cards - shady business model?

B/c I use notebooks w/their on-board sound exclusively, add-in sound cards have gone the way of the dodo for me. My last (sb) was the Audigy 2; my very first one was an sb value 16 with proprietary ide header for a panasonic 2x cd-rom drive (circa 1994). I've had sb cards in all my (desktop)...

College Gaming Notebook

The only 8800m that I've heard about that's in a 15" would be the Area 51 m15x. Kinda pricey, though and I'm sure battery life isn't great. I have a g1s-a1 (2.2 C2D, 160GB 5400). The 8600m gt is a joke for high end gaming; ok for moderate gaming. I can play Crysis at 800x600 at low and the...

The hardest video game in existance.

Battletoads was tough...never passed it especially the jet ski stage. TMNT, Guardian Legend, Blaster Master, Ninja Gaiden 3...pretty tough

Dumbest thing you've ever done

Wanted to "test" a 120mm case fan that I just bought from Fry's Burbank back in 2003. Instead of using the psu's 12v connections, I decided to use a 120v wall socket. It worked for 2 seconds spinning up and beyond max rpms before blowing up with a big "POW".

What is wrong with a 17.0'' Laptop !!!

I prefer 13"-14" notebook for portability. I have an E1705 as a desktop replacement. I purchased an Asus G1S 15.4" to replace the 14.1" Compaq V2000Z that I gave to my wife.

laptop HD _ 4200 to 5400

Definitely get a 5400rpm drive. I have a 4200rpm in my compaq work notebook and it's slow, especially at start up into Windows.
