i installed xp pro on a secondary system and before i could do all the updates and such somehow i got the virus that was going arround that has been going arround the last few months. i didnt do anything but go to the manufatcurers websites to download the drivers(msi) and do the updates...
well i honestly dont know what is wrong but could you move whats on that partition to another temporarily and repartition/format it? then move the stuff back.
thats all i have to offer without seeing more of the problem. hope maybe someone else can give you a better solution though...

i wish i could afford new quailty higher mem but really want 2 harddrives to raid. i am not sure if iwill even buy the cpu since i dont see my 2.26 being my bottleneck and since i dont plan on playing doom or halflife i am not sure if upgrading now is better than saving money...

i just came into some money (love gambling) and am considering upgrading my p4 2.26 (533) to a "c" class cpu (2.4,2.6,2.8...) and am wondering if it runs with drr 333 or if i need to also upgrade the memory to ddr400. not doing any over clocking atm and would honestly dont want to buy...

ok i didnt mean to suggest that by disabling this he would be troubel free. it would get rid of those pop up adds coming through messenger. i recommend using a fire wall - i use zone alarm pro.

if they are window pop ups then you have a security problem with messenger service (not msn mesenger) black viper website has a way to test this - think its www.blkviper.com
