Civ 5/BE - more or faster cores to speed up turns?

It turns on quick movement/quick combat for the AI players (and city states), while leaving movement and combat for yourself switched off. In Civ5, the mod guesses which AIs to do this for, so if you're at war with someone, the quick movement/combat for that AI gets turned off, while remaining...

Look for a mod called 'quick turns'. There's one for both Civ5 and BE. Helps a lot.

For computer management, move your cursor to the bottom left hand corner, then right click -> computer management. Windows key + X opens the menu as well.

Why did SLI fall out of grace for so many years?

Wow, I'm not that old, luckily (j/k :P) I think the first PC upgrade I ever did was to upgrade from 4Mb of RAM to 8Mb. Of course I was far too young to buy it myself, so I had to beg my parents for weeks on end. I was probably around 14. I broke their will in the end :D

SLI couldn't be done while cards used the AGP interface. Once PCIe was introduced, SLI made a comeback. /thread

Bulletstorm - this game makes no sense

Picked up Painkiller black edition for a dirt cheap price (Steam FTW). Enjoying it so far. If I had to describe it I would say it's like Serious Sam crossed with Quake1, although that may only be down to the 'Gothic' maps you start on. Can't go wrong with a bit of trigger happy blasting fun :)

Overclocking i5-2500K with Stock HSF

You're right, I had neglected to check the temps. Did a quick test just now, fired up crysis2 and played for a bit, then checked the temps. One core was sitting at 71C, which is too hot for my liking. Hardware monitor reports the vcore at 1.24V max. I have no idea if this is normal, I didnt...

Overclocking i5-2500K with Stock HSF

I've got a 2500K and Asus P8P67Pro Mb. I did a 'lazy overclock' using the mobos built in tweaker. This set my CPU to 4357Mhz, using the stock HSF. Its been at that speed for around 2 months now. No problems so far. Makes me wonder how far I could push it with a decent HSF. I'm quite lazy when it...

DNF does NOT suck that bad...

I enjoyed it. It's a solid run-and-gun adventure IMO. Although you can tell it is a game that should have been released a few years back. I'm looking forward to seeing what Gearbox can do for the next Duke episode.
