Chinese to english program??

I own a chinese dictionary... every chinese character seemes to have at least ten totally different meanings... i think it will be one of the hardest translatable languages... (the fact that i own a dictionary doesn't mean i understand a single line of chinese)

Norton Ghost...

I'm using Ghost for 3 years now... What you need to do is this: make sure you have a dos boot disk, ghost somewhere on your system and at least two partitions. to create an image NEVER run it from within windows (your swapfile will be on your image making it bigger than nescesairy.)...

Annoying Screen Size Problems with Windows 2000!!! Help!

the easiest solution (i've got the same problem) run win98 in 1152*864 and win2k in 1200*1024 or use different refresh rates...

shutdown problem in win2k

it seems as if it helps, but when the computer should be powered off, it shows a blue stop- screen witch is hardly readable... ...When i run windows update i get the inaccessible bootr device error (AFTER the os selection screen (i have only 1 harddisk)... related?

What Is The Best MB To OC Celeron 566MHz???

I think any BX board will do, as long as it is one of the last made and haveing as little as possible on board (not even udma66 or 100 controller) because of the available irq's

I have no idea, but maybe you have a via chipset or one of the newer intel chipsets... it might be possible that you need to install yourt motherboarddrivers/patches?:confused:

Cdrom drive help... Pretty please???!!!

Most sold CD-roms are ATAPI. these are recognised during system boot. The screen will tell something like "Found CD-rom" if it doesen't check IDE cables in the system (big flat gray cable) and power cable of the cd-rom (white plug with 4 cables attached) if this is not the problem...

Finding Windows 98 version # and product registration number?

an easy way to get around in the register (you need to use start -> run -> then type "regedit" (w/o the quotes). the Registry-editor will now be started. hit ctrl-F to use the search option to search for "-oem-" which will display the registration number. The code you entered...

indeed, i tested some compound with a multimeter that is able to read the resistance removing the pads isn't a good idea, maybe you should find high quality thermal paste (eg.artic silver) to fill up the gap between the die and sink

What's the best way to attach a heatsink/fan to videocard?

Just take a drill, make sure you don't hit the chip, or it will be damaged. best to take 4 4mm bolts, and screw it on/up tightly. best results are when the pcb is bent a little so the cooler is making good contact. the best cooler will be the Alpha (FC-)PAL6035 with YS Tech fans. You will need...

the pIII 700 runs at 100 MHz FSB (at 133 it would have a multiplier of 5.25 ->can't)so your pc100 memory will work

Comp keeps restarting when trying to load Windows

try hitting F8 during boot ... confirm each step... maybe you can bypass the autoscan... otherwise, boot in dos & reinstal windhoos you might have to tell bios the boot sequence start at cdrom -> win9x cd is bootable ->cd support in dos

all mobo's wark at the same voltages (bundle of wires form your powersupply) It would be more expensive to make area-sensitive equipment rather than powersupplies with a switch. If 230V comes out of the wall, and you set the switch at 110V, your 12V will be 24V, your 5V will be 10V and so on -->...

If the power on the net in Australia is 230V leave the red swich on the power supply on 230V. If you change it to 110V you'll frie your computer (there's a transformator (in dutch, dunno the english word for it, the thing changes 230 V ~ into 12V=,5V=) in the powersupply, the switch on the back...

I have the same problem w a logitech scrollmouse... in IE, when i'm scrolling he sometimes clicks the first link, in games or in windows it sometimes jumpes around clicking everything...quite occasionally

use "software" in stead of direct3d, use as high resulution as possible, as much colors as possible (this is the way to heat up my processor, so i assume it is used heavily)
