If you've recently bought something from the Macys.com clearance sale, just FYI the B&M store rings the item differently than the web prices. For example, my $50 Kenneth Cole jacket rang up as $140...I only had the shipping invoice which didn't show the amount I paid for it. They offered to...
I went and compared the board to one at a local store, and the design (the Mermaid one and the plain cream colored one) were labeled IBT at the store. BTW, at the store, they went for $419 board only.
Store seems kinda shady.

The hot one in particular are the Atlantis IBT boards for $159 plus free bindings. They don't say IBT on them, but they in fact are.
Problem is...the site looks sketchy, so buyer beware.
PS. For another DAMN good combo, Overstock.com has the MLY board for...
<< I had a top-of-the-line projection HDTV from Toshiba.
All I can say is that unless you watch DVD's only, your digital cable feed (as mine is) is going to give you a crappy picture. Cable feed is crappy to begin with, but it's accentuated on a good projection set.
Since I watch more cable...
partsexpress rocks.
they have bulk Canare and Monster cable for dirt cheap for the DIY people. Their shipping seems a little expensive but is fairly consistent. When I spent upwards of $200-$300 in parts, the shipping was still around $10. So it would seem they factor in the cost of the...
Not to diss, but why are you considered an engineering graduate?
Seems more arts/business related than engineering related...even the ergonomics aspect of it. Good luck finding a job in the current market where even real aerospace engineers are having a difficult time finding employment.

Now that would be quite a mod to get a DVD into a Gamecube! >>
I wonder how Panasonic is doing it then? ;)
yes...that was intended to be sarcasm...seeing as how the panasonic is a redesigned unit.
<< I thought the resoning behind no progressive scan in XBOX was becuase they would have to pay the DVD consortium a royalty fee per box. Which means an even bigger loss per unit, or higher unit price.
>>
you may be correct, but I thought the consortium fee was for any DVD...

<< argh...damn the MPAA and frickin' macrovision....
first progressive gets axed on the xbox, now on this....must resist urge to bomb academy awards. >>
What does macrovision have to do with progressive scan? I'm not trying to be a smart@ass, I just never knew they were related. >>...
you serious?
you managed to copyright links to amazon?
moreover, I don't see any "copyright-able" phrases on that page.
and the color pattern seems to be a standard Frontpage table....
added to the fact that your link doesn't work makes me very confused...actually, i really don't care either...
Indeed...heat is a big problem with Technics....and it goes beyond a late starting fan. The most obvious culprit is the actual casing itself...just compare the Technics with any other receiver (DD or not) and you'll see there is much less openings for hot air to escape on the Technics. Why...
Just a bit of warning....check out the wattage rating. I believe it's 100W per channel on a 6ohm load driven at 1khz. That would translate to approximately 30-40W per channel on a 8ohm load (which the vast majority of speakers are rated at) driven at 20Hz-20khz (20Hz is the important number...
<< You can get a cheap DVD player for $6x.xx in BBY or CC, unless you need earthlink which cost $21.95(maybe $23.95 now). >>
So basically, you get 3 months of free service with a DVD purchase.
This thread brings to mind a particular phrase I happen to like very much. I believe i might have read it off an ATecher's sig...here it goes:
"Winning an argument on a internet BBS or chat room is like winning first place in the Special Olympics--you're still retarded."
hmmm...we have Carl's Jr. over here and they have a 6 dollar burger for the same price. wonder if it's the same company....or a massive conspiracy to overthrow Chili's and Applebee's?
Not quite as good of a deal, but if you want, get the Cordless Optical mouse and same iTouch keyboard for $45 shipped, using the same process.
I guess it's up to you to decide which is better...two cordless mouse (mice) and an extra keyboard, or one cordless, optical mouse. I went with the...

I don't think the Circuit city deal gets u the drive for $129.99 after rebates, i think it's either $179.99 after rebates or $199.99
so you'd have to sell the CDRW drive for anywhere from $30-$50 on ebay just to get the same price as you are for outpost deal >>
well...you...
There's a $20 rebate plus free 24x10x40 CDRW from Circuit City with the purchase of this hard drive.
So if you want to fiddle around with returns, circumvent the system a little, and be an all around bad, evil person, you can get this drive for $129 - fleabay of the CDRW = $ ?????
For the same price...pick up a pair of:
HTD Level 2
Paradigm Atoms
Infinity RS1s
NHT SuperZeros
etc...
the list goes on. There's a reason these go for $19 at www.ubid.com.
Good deal, but be aware that is a 2 year old model. Last year's model was the 2801 (pretty much identical to the 2800 with a few minor tweaks). This year's model is the 2802 which adds Pro-Logic II. Some consider this to be a very important new feature. It can be had for $534 from...

got it in the mail, says 1 per household, so I assume it's not one use. doesn't say anything about minimum purchase, so YMMV. i haven't tried it so don't ask me.
