Hi guys! Thought I'd refrain from this until I could get the top - but I check it every morning. Just chugging away, two machines, watching from afar. I can remember when I first started - 1000/1300 wu's a day was great - look at how far we've come. Congratulations to all who participate.

Seti can't log in

I have used caching programs in the past, but they seem to make my machine unstable - don't know why, but running seti driver or seti queue really ups the number of app crashes that I get. I've used seti gate to some success, but after a few months, it quits, and I can't get it back - it must...

I had to re-install my caching program and the client, now SAH says it has no account under the email that I've been using for the past year+ ----- Any ideas?

SoftFSB plug-in for Abit KT-7 Raid?

Can't seem to overclock from the bios, thought I'd try a utility like SoftFSB - does anyone know if there's support out there for my KT-7? Does anyone know what specific clock generator it uses?

What am I doing wrong?

Getting 2 sticks of PC133/256 solved my last problem, but I can't seem to get my KT7-RAID to overclock at all. The interesting specs: t-bird 1.1 11x100fsb fsb/pci 100/33 fsb plus 0 force 4way inter enable dram 4k page mode enable dram timing hst clk+pci clk...

Anyone local to Winston-Salem NC with amd setup?

Help! Lesson Learned

A friend of mine wanted to try some overclocking on my KT7-Raid, convinced me of its feasibility, and proceeded to thoroughly crash my machine. The last thing I remember him doing was changing the DRAM Timing from Host CLK to Hst CLK + PCI, or something like that. The machine doesn't even boot...

SETI people: which dual SOCKET-370 board should i get? - [i'm getting the msi 694d - article inside]

Read the forums at 2CPU.com, lots of info there, there's alot of new stuff coming, but it'll be expensive, server-type boards, some for dual t-birds. Most people use the MSI or the Abit VP6.

Need a SETI person with broadband for proxy test!

I've been running SetiGate for 3 weeks with 3.03, no hitches here. I've got cable modem broadband w/o firewall for now (am going to install zone alarm soon) Is there something I can do to help?

Why does SETI crash my System??---UPDATED---

I had all sorts of crashing going on with 3.whatever with setiq and seti spy. I switched over to seti gate and I am running smooth now, tbird 1.1g

Using 3.03 cli, I get a 6.5 hr average with a tbird 1.1g on an abit kt7-raid.

Dumped wu's this morning, got a message that I need to upgrade the client, but the wu's didn't get rejected ------ I upgraded, and things have slowed down considerably.

SETI Overheating cpu?

Toasted my dually last week, running an ABIT KT7-Raid with 1.1g Tbird. SETI 24/7 brings cpu temp up to 53 celsius - could this cause instability within my system? Apps, especially IE5.5, seem to crash alot, although I rarely get BSOD'ed. I've had to reinstall Win2k once already, wiping out my c...

Seti@Home v3.03 CLI & or GUI for windows Speed Issues is it really slower?

Well, my times with the 3.03 client are about 7 hours with a tbird at 1.1g - with 3.0, it was about 3.5 - 4. The new 3.03 is most definitely slower.

Here's more specifics: download winnt commandline client, 3.0 version create 2 directories in C:\program files - Seti1 and Seti2 copy the client into each directory run the client in each directory, this will set up the client, add your email address (and don't forget to join the Team!) Change...

Need some help on a dual cpu Seti system...

In addition to the 2 separate instances of the seti cli client, use setiq to load wu's and keep track of them - seti queue resides in its own directory, and you use the "setipatc" command line to patch the clients to the seti q program. I'm getting about 7 hours/wu on dual 550E's, so...
