Question about CPU voltage and overclocking

I don’t overclock a lot so pardon if this is a stupid question. I have a 6700K and when it is not overclocked and sitting idle the voltage on the CPU drops well below 1v. Once a load is placed on the CPU the voltage jumps to 1.28v to 1.29v. If I increase the voltage in the bios to overclock...

Looking for an entry level gaming card ~$50

A friend of mine just used the $50 off $100 Best Buy coupon found in the "Hot Deals" forum and got a Nvidia 650 GTX for $65. This is probably the best you can do at that price point.

GTX 680 Longevity question

As I don't keep up with what is in the pipeline as much as I use to; can someone who does help me out? I remember purchasing the 480 GTX only to be miffed when 6 months later they came out with the 580 GTX back in 2010. I want to buy the GTX 680 but I would wait if there is something better...

Patriot Torqx2 64GB SSD less than $1/GB at Fry's B&M 59.99 after 20.00 MIR

Is it worth keeping a card for Phsyx anymore?

At idle (i.e. surfing the web, etc) it adds about 10 watts. While playing a game it adds anywhere between 50 to 70 watts.

Overclocking Intel G45 and using the Integrated Graphics

Yeah that would be the best; I was building this system for a friend and trying to keep it as cheap as possible. My friend doesn't game so I was thinking he could get away with integrated graphics. The only way I noticed this issue is when I installed Google Earth which uses 3D acceleration.

Can my video card effect CPU core voltage?

Before I had a 8800GTS 640. I can up the core voltage and it becomes stable again. But that brings me back to one of my original questions, when I'm increasing the voltage should I go by the motherboard or CPU-z. I don't really want to go over 1.45V on the core and right now I'm at 1.425v in...

Please help - need 24" 4:3 lcd monitor

Unfortunately the application it is going into I won't be able the "ignore" the black bars on the side. It will be used as a duel monitor setup so the lcd's will be side by side. I can't have the black bars and I can't have a stretched image either. It has to be 4:3 native.

Need your help guys. Without getting into all the details, the short story is a need a 24" 4:3 lcd monitor for work. I saw one awhile back on newegg for $2000 but it is not there anymore. Does anyone know of a manufacture that makes larger than 21" 4:3 lcd monitors. Cost is really not an issue.

I don't know if it was here or not, but awhile back I remember seeing an article/spreadsheet that listed core clocks/mem clocks for a lot of video cards over the years. A kind of video card spec summary/history. Does anyone know where something like that may be? Any help is appreciated.
