For all those who are going to flash their motherboard don't use winflash (windows) because it will not work well! Make a bootable disc instead and flash the BIOS via DOS. After that, my checksum problem went away and all is good! :) My HD4890 runs smoothly now. :D

I flashed my 775Dual-VSTA BIOS to 3.19a through Winflasher 4.22. My ATI HD 4890 is working better, but now I have the bad CMOS checksum problem! I change the BIOS settings, but it never saves them.

Cool thread! It's back! Anyways, I want to upgrade my 775-DualVSTA BIOS from 3.10 to the latest version (3.19a). This german site: http://www.pctreiber.net/artik...ei-asrock-motherboards shows how to flash it to the newer BIOS. Which is better doing it through Windows or DOS...

Just to update everybody, it hasn't crashed since I pulled out my PCI sound blaster card. My computer has crashed, but unrelated to the motherboard. GPU-Z, speed fan, ati tray tools does not freeze anymore. CPU: Intel e6400 Memory: Patriot PDC1G3200+XBLK Video Card: ATI x850xt PE AGP

I guess you are right only way to find out is to pull the card. Okay, my computer always locks up 95% of the time when I start Speed Fan. It always freezes at the part when it scans all the buses prior to launching, ISA BUS 2090. ISA Bus 2090, am I on to something here? What does that...

FRUSTRATING! No matter what I change in the BIOS settings, nothing works! I am starting to wonder if the problem is my sound blaster PCI card. Anybody thinks so? Should I even have a 5.1 sound card if I have the onboard audio? What do you think?
