Thanks for replies. How would this be diagnosed and fixed? ESET NOD32 AV, default Windows 7 Firewall. When this happens I can't log in to the router admin panel, so this rules out any relation to the ISP.

Update: I finally managed to acquire and test a PCIe expansion NIC. Same problem - after 2 days of uptime, the network connection stops working correctly. So it doesn't seem to be a hardware problem (or, if it is, it is a very weird problem). So that leaves software... But I'm having a hard...

This page has a pattern on its right. When viewed in my LG L1753TR LCD monitor, scrolling the screen causes it to start blinking and to get a yellow tint. This is even more noticeable if the browser window is un-maximized and slowly dragged. Clearly this phenomenon happens elsewhere as well...
