Did you actually try to utilize Word, Excel, etc.? I type a lot, so tried it for 15 or so minutes in OneNote/Excel. Completely unproductive since I had to keep the keyboard "dug in" into my stomach. The experience has definitely improved over SP2, but still far from this being a fulltime device...

I tried it at the MS store. Most MS stores have chairs/high-chairs. In my case, there was also a massage chair and a "couchy" chaise lounge kind of thing right in front of the MS store in the mall... so was able to take it outside after politely asking the MS store rep.

With so many types at your disposal in .NET, you can use whatever you want. My post was alluding to the notion of learning the basics of how DataSet and DataTable objects work. I do agree with switching to the Entity Framework... LINQ to SQL has been frozen and works only with SQL Server anyway...
