Turns out this is not a reliable indication, because you might just find a separate 256MB memory unit instead of it being built in... Check jake77444's post on xbox-scene.
If you're looking for an Arcade unit, just check on the box to see if it says that it has 256 MB. Kind of like this.
So, yes, a very easy way to tell a Jasper from a non-Jasper. I don't know if that means that you have a Jasper in your hands if you're holding a Pro and on the box it says that...
