Should I buy a separate PC for work if overclocking??

Over clocking can affect the precision of calculations though. This is what stability programs like Intel Burn Test are designed to test. I'd never have an active over clock on a PC I use for work. I'd get another PC, OP.

You can do this in Windows 7/8 (probably others too but I haven't checked) with a scheduled task. One of the options with coming up with a scheduled task is to fire it off of an event. Just set it to fire off of WHEA. I don't have the script I used with me at the moment, but it's dead simple.

Should we stop our cores from Parking?

As someone who also has core parking disabled, this is not at all what happens -- at least not on my 2600K. I also did not see a significant increase in power consumption or heat with it disabled.

WHEA errors - how many is too many?

Just as an FYI: You can set a scheduled task in windows to fire off everytime a WHEA error is logged in the event viewer. It will be easier to keep track of the errors that way. Maybe have it write a log file of your own creation to the desktop. I have this on my upgraded netbook as I want to...

A lot of Mini-ITX boards come with a mini PCI-E slot somewhere on the motherboard (for a wireless card, or something). Some people have had good success plugging their sound card into a mini PCI-E to PCI-E adapter. If you really wanna go small, you could try that.

Does anyone else use StraightTalk? I ported both of my iPhones over!

Never heard of StraightTalk. Prices look great thanks for sharing. I'm on a prepaid t-mobile monthly 4G plan for $30/month and the StraightTalk plan for $30/month is almost identical, so I don't think I'll switch. Than said, ponying up for a year pre-paid gives me an effective per month cost...

Stress test tool that allows testing of only designated cores?

You might be able to get away with using something like Intel Burn Test, setting the number of threads to 1, and then setting the core affinity to the cores you want to test using task manager. You can do this by right clicking the process in the task manager and clicking on "Set Affinity..."...

First bulldozer benches from AMD - surprising results (beats 980x)
