Can an ISP keep a router from working? My parents have Time Warner Cable(Spectrum?) The company recently updated their Cable Modem(I think their phone works from it too) My Dad hooked up the router that worked with the previous hardware. Now it doesn't work. I haven't worked on it yet...

Cox Internet and Virus popup

Just out of curiosity if they can tell I have a Virus on my network, what else can they see on my computer? Was the Virus doing something on the network, or did they see it on the computer? I have always thought I was being "safe" on the computer(privacy, virus scans, etc) now I have to wonder.

Cant install W7 SP1
