Thank you. I forced the PC to boot from the SSD by unplugging the power connector to the HDD and the OS appeared to load fine. I then reconnected the HDD and entered the BIOS however I'm not certain whether the PC is still booting from the SSD as I didn't see an option for SSD in the boot...

Thank you! I plan on returning the 750ti, however I am going to swap out the HDD with a SSD and using the HDD for storage (thank you all for that advice BTW!!). We'll see how the system performs before I upgrade the RAM. I'm waiting for the ssd in the mail, so I'm in a holding pattern for now...

I think I'm just going to return the GTX 750. I've used the Gateway computer since '05-'06 and I'm so used to using older technology which is why I purchased the 8400GS for the Gateway. But after reading your advice, it sounds like the onboard GPU in the Dell will work just fine for my needs...

Thank you, yes the Newegg link you provided appears to be closer to the model I purchased at Staples. The Staples link I provided doesnt' appear to be the one, however their site only lists two Inspiron 660s with the link I provided containing the only i5 processer.
