Flat out best Sci-fi series in recent years. Great acting, story line, and special effects. I think it even one an Emmy for "best drama," a first for any Sci-Fi show.
Just bought Backcountry's Shift soft shell jacket last week. I bought it to replace my Arc'teryx Gamma MX that I lost and did not want to pay $300 to replace it. The Shift seemed of quality materials and build. Happy with it. Good find at employee pricing.
Also, I am hooked on their...
My fellow AT gurus,
My hard drive is full of movies waiting to be burned to DVD. I previously happily burned DVDs under XP using the previous versions of NERO - no problems, loved it. With a new computer running Vist64, the options available look no so good...
If you look at the NERO 9...
I remember, at the time of FFVII, I worked in a coffee house and this guy would come in with a big Aries tatoo on his shoulder. That is some hardcore love for FF.
I agree FFVII is one of the best games of all time but I am not yet ready to get inked for a video game... :)
This whole post and thread is the funiest thing I have ever read on AT. This shirt will bring both super bedroom powers and shamen attention. Rock on boys.
I had never played a tower defense game before. Dropped the $5. Surprisingly addictive. I am totally hooked. I was up till 3AM last night playing this dang thing. Forced to fire up the Red Bull at work today to stay focused. ;)
I previously bought Dayton speakers from parts express for a surround sound system. Once calibrated, it rocked the house. I was very happy with them, after previously using other moderately high end speakers. Dayton is usually reviewed as good quality bang for your buck speakers (and I don't...
That article was really funny for BSG fans.
"Obama Depressed, Distant Since 'Battlestar Galactica' Series Finale."
And I thought I was the only one... :)
I am a big BSG fan and was looking for regular DVDs. (No blue-ray for me yet)
Found these deals at amazon.com with good discounts. Even my local Walmart has them for sale in the $30 plus range. Free S/H if you buy more than $25.
Season 1 is $23.99 (60% off)...
As we were discussing Steam a bit in relation to this software purchase.... I was previously anti-Steam but after getting a new computer, looking at a big ass pile of disks to reload programs, and instead downloading everything with a few clicks on steam - I am a total convert.
I now look...
The expansion to Dawn of War is also 75% off through today (1/28/09) on steam. Dawn of War is a great RTS. You would need the original DoW to use the expansion. - Space Marines in oversized power armor, who could ask for more?
Nice find. I am in for 1.
The X-com series had some great games back in the day.
I swear Terror from the Deep almost cost me my sophomore year in undergrad.
I wish these could be played on my cell phone. My Motorola Q probably has a faster CPU then the early computers I played these games on.
Any thoughts on which of these programs in discussion work the best with DVD-Shrink and Windows Vista 64 OS?
Just got a new computer with the 64 bit OS and it has been twitchy with some programs. I'm loading DVD-Shrink tonight (which I have loved using under Win XP). I am wondering...
Team Fortress 2 continues to be one of my favorite team play games. Very fun and a great value. Fast capture the flag action. If you didn't get the orange box originally, then this would be a great time to pick up TF2.
