your best bet is too go with a DDR3 board for future upgradability..i would've done the same if i saved enough to buy all my hardware at once...
thats one of the cons of upgrading-by-parts so they work with your current config and than getting other things later :)

yeah...all phenom 720's are black edition as far i know...i get all kinds of different OC numbers in AMD overdrive and temp monitoring...i cant raise the multiplier anywhere in BIOS...kinda strange
got the latest bios with the biostar 790gx 128m mobo but the only overclocking that seems to work best is the automatic options (V6 V8 V12)
i really wanna know how i can raise the multiplier in bios for this board...cant seem too find it anywhere..trying to get phenom 720 to 3.6...
Just ordered my XFX 4890 and Phenom 720 from NCIX! ...cant wait till it gets here!...i was gonna get the XT version but i was kinda short (didn't know their'd be an OC on launch)....lol had to reduce my shipping options even just to keep it under how much money i had.....

Hey yall, is the phenom 940 a INSANE upgrade over a 2mb AMD dual core at atleast 3ghz?
i really dont feel like im getting the most out of my 8800GT and this CPU "on paper" looks like it destroys my current one....
im aware this chip would most likely run "unrecognized" as i have no interest...
i've been looking at the phenom 940 and wanted to get it during summer....
my biggest question would probably be is this the best OC board for C$180 for the 940?

good demo besides minor frame drops at certain parts...that B*tch in the theatre made me pop outta my chair!...nothing too spectacular for the price tag though (if the demos a big representation of the game as a whole)

well heres the deal....i have no idea what RAiD is about and if i might need it.

i would get the gtx 260 black edition but if you wanna save a bit i'd go with a 4870 512mb and add that towards upgrading your cpu
so the second choice looks better...the new x2 6000 at 89W looks good as it probably will OC to 3.2....see if your board can support it first...

you may be right...around that time my "scrambble the settings" approach wasnt very knowledgeable (press the red button and hopefully the underground engineering facility is saved) ...but i couldnt ask for more with how things have worked out :)
