I believe the number for the EVO isn't part of the model, it just refers the the body style. X refers '08+. IX is the few years before '08.

i7 920 w/ GA-EX58-UD3R

Anything wrong with High-capacity drives?

You can never determine when your drive will go bad to the point of "i can't get my data". If you are really worried about losing a ton of data, there are a lot of options out there. Internet backup sites, burning Blu-ray / DVDs, Raid 1 or 5. Any of those things will decrease the likely hood...

What is your all time favourite CPU?

Pentium II 300Mhz MALAY SL2W8. I ran that chip at 554Mhz rock solid, it was a great chip, a legend. The Celeron was a champion as well from that era, most of those could do 450Mhz no sweat which is an overclock percentage that hasn't been matched until the G0 Q6600s

My Q6600 overclocks unusually well.. Something wrong just lucky?

My question is, what WILL the chip do at 1.4v :-) 4.0Ghz? The thing that will really hurt the chip is voltages and temps outside the chips specification which is less than 71C and 1.5V. The farther you are from those limits the happier the chip will be, but as long as you aren't violating those...

Phenom II at 7Ghz
