Well, I went ahead and bought that 3DFX Voodoo3 1000 "OEM" card and indeed it is the exact same chipset as the normal Voodoo3 cards.
The bum is that it doesn't come with a heatsink. But heck, for $49, I think this is a good buy!

Well, I did see on 3DFX's website that there is a Velocity card with 16MB of ram so I don't think that the ad in the paper is inaccurate when they say 16MB of ram.

When I first purchased my Celeron 533A, I could only get it up to 848MHz with a BE6-II motherboard and a Golden Orb CPU fan.
After upgrading my bios to the very latest version, I was able to pep this same chip up to 920MHz ROCK SOLID!
Sometimes its your bios. At least it was in my case...
