How do I turn off light in scanner?

question about installing OS's

Out of range error with Sony Monitor

Well I don't know why it happened, but I went back to the display properties, advanced, and it said that my monitor had changed, and it let me changed it to 1024x768 at 120hz, the 120 was what it put on its own.

WinME random reboots

Thanks so much for the responses guys. It turned out to be the IRQ problem. I don't really know that much about IRQ's and what they do and mean...but I had installed a network card awhile back, and it appeared to be on IRQ11, same as some other stuff...so I just took it out of the computer...

WinMe won't shutdown....

I installed a NIC, and I don't remember if I started having problems right after that or not, but I never had much success networking 2 ME computers together, was real slow...its probably because I don't know much about networking...but thats another story.

I'm in the market for a Sony E400 19" Monitor. Staples has it for $550. www.atacom.com has it for $467. Staples will match the price, plus shipping and tax. Which only saves me about $10 or $20. But I can get an extended warranty at Staples, don't know anything about a warranty online...

Can't get Win2000 to shutdown computer

I just installed Win2000Pro over Win98, and when I go to Start-Shut down, it shows the "its now safe to shutdown" screen...but then it does nothing. I can't turn it off by hitting the power button either. Any help appreciated.

I've never ordered from mwave before, anyone have any thing to say about them? And is $255 a fair price? Microx-press is a local online dealer for me and they have it for $300 so its at least cheaper than someone.
