CRT vs modern LCD: Taking a look back

If you can deal with their physical drawbacks, crt still wins in responsiveness and they are still up there in image quality. At least the ones that I have the Sony GDM FW900. I'm keeping mines until we get some nice affordable OLEDS.

Fallout - prior games necessary to enjoy later games?

You don't need to play any of the prior Fallout's to play F4. That said, F4 is probably the weakest in the main series.

Recommend a video camera

Hello, I am a total noob when it comes to video and photography. I want to get a decent camera to record my games playing on crt monitors and upload them to youtube. What would be a good place to start? My budget is $500. Thanks.

Nintendo DX GPU?

The thing is cartridges are more expensive to mass produce vs blue ray (I am not 100% sure, someone please correct me if i'm wrong). I just don't see them going with the more expensive medium. As much as I would love to see some of return of something similar to cartridges, I just don't see them...

Very nice OC's guys. I'm thinking about picking up one of those CPUs but I'm not sure if my mobo would be compatible. I am using a Biostar T-power X58 running an i7 920. This looks like a good upgrade if it works :)

Underrated Games

Another vote here for Hard Reset. Just bought it when it was on sale on STEAM and I gotta say this is the most fun I've had with a straight fps in a long while. But underated games in general are really hard to come by nowadays. Mainly because of the internet.

So it is more about the way it looks then? Not much changes with the look of the combat as you progress. You still have your 3 different sword styles, though you get to develop further as the game goes along. You also get to learn alchemy and some spells that also make combat more interesting...

Fallout series

Just depends on what kind of games you like. FO 1 & 2 are both great titles but if you are not a fan of tb combat then you wont like them. FO3 is pretty much just oblivion with guns, so if you like that stuff then it will be right up ypur alley. And NV added a bunch of stuff that FO3 lacked...

2012 Steam Summer Sale: DEAD!

I wouldn't call them dated as much as I would just call it different. Theres not much FO:NV does anything better than FO 1&2. In fact there are some things the originals do better than the newer titles. Though with that being said, they are all fun games.
