Sil 3114 Raid issues with 64bit Windows Install

~Bump Nobody has any ideas? I was also able to get windows to see my raid drives by copying the hardware id's in the txtsetup.oem file from the non-raid 64bit driver to the raid driver. But it still blue screens with 0x0000007B after the 2nd reboot.

HDTV / DVD on monitor?

Post your P4 overclocking experiences here. :)

GJTM8, sounds like your peltier isn't powerful enough. What kind of cold plate are you using? Because only like 1/9th of the peltier sits over the CPU, so you only got like 1/9th the cooling unless you have a good cold plate.

Nobody else has had this problem? bacillus, mabe i crammed too much in 1 line? I just got the board (its brand new). When i use PC Probe utility it shows 25C/77F for the CPU temp. I flashed 1006(beta3), and downloaded the newest PC probe (2.12.09). And that didn't solve anything. The CPU temp...

I just got it, the probe is stuck on 25C/77F for some reason, updated bios and probe. In bios it shows correct values. (win2k) Thx

Gah!! Rc5 stats starting so late!!

its been going for over 8 hours now!!! they usually take like 5 and its still not done, at least it shows my total blocks/rank updated, thats enough so i can goto bed

jesus christ you guys are still posting on this topic? what is the big discussion? P4=fastest thing out tbird=very fast/affordable if you can buy a P4 and overclock it to 1.7Ghz+ great most people can hardly aford a tbird 1.0Ghz thats why more people have them, because they are are the best...

Does anybody have a 1.2GHz that is LOCKED????

uhh... im just guessing. but the new chipset supports 133FSB, im guessing they come unlocked, because you have to use a different multiplyer to run at default speed with 133Mhz FSB compaired to 100Mhz FSB. Just a guess. Easyer and smarter then doing like intel and selling 2 different chips for...

Im guessing something with motherbaord makes system stop much when waiting for IDE device? Mabe BIOS setting or something, somebody must know how to fix it. My Dads SCSI drives are like that, when it reads alot the mouse will keep stopping, every split second like its going at 5fps or something

Yea he's talkin about divx. I have simular/lesser setup then him and I dont have any problems. BX chipset, win2k NTFS, 5400RPM UDMA33.

removing da duron

you have to push down on the clip thats down on the socket and push it away from the socket to get it off the little tab. Be careful you dont rock the heatsink on the chip they tend to chip/crack

what kinda of motherboard shout i get????

I'd get CUSL2-C you can find it around 110-120$, and its great for overclocking. CUSL2 has AGP Pro slot (no cards support yet), onboard video (Unless your not going to play games, you need one anyway), and 1 extra CNR slot (They arn't good for anything) and its more like 150$. Unless your going...

Dumb Question.. What is a cc0 stepping processor?//

cc0 is the stepping, its like a revision. Just think of it as a way to get more out of a CPU without redesigning it. They just change a few things, to get it to go faster, thats what the stepping is. The newer the stepping, usually the more it will overclock.

I have P3 800 cc0, just got my system all built. It was working when i tested it out for a few sec with retail heatsink. Ive built all my watercooling stuff, use silicone and stuff to seal up mobo (going to use pitler). Just tryed to test system without pitler, just to make sure i didnt damage...

Epoxy on Mobo

I get like 10,000 ohms from glass of water, nothing from epoxy. is 10,000 about right for water? edit: And like 100,000 ohms if i squeez the probes in my fingers, 1 in each hand.

Epoxy on Mobo

I cracked tab on my socket, going to use epoxy and glue my "hold down device" for my waterblock right on the motherboard. Anyone know if epoxy is conductive and will short anything out?

Cracked a tab on socket

Well, doesn't look like I'd be able to send it to the place i bought it from, they want me to send it to the manufacture... Forget that, i got some 5-15sec cure cyanoacrylate glue(hobby stuff) hopefully it will be strong enough. Im going to let it dry at least a few hours before attempting to...

Overclocking voids your warranty? Not a chance.

I belive they have voice recorders built into them, and they can hear you say "Lets pump up the voltage more... Oh sh*t!!!" right before it stopped working

well i sent in a RMA request, i did look at the stuff at overclockers.com most of them wont work on socket MB, too much stuff in the way. the little metal hooks would probably be the best way, but it would still be hard to find something that will work like that Metal hooks i talkin about I...

because for the past few days i couldnt wait for it to get here now it will probably be few more weeks. It cracked really really really easy, ive put together a few computers before and never had any problems with anything. What are the chances that it was just defective, already part cracked...

OGR is a seprate thing run by distributed the dnet app can crack OGR and RC5, you have to tell it what one you want it to crack.
