free ramdisk type program for winXP 32 bit?

Even if "Write Cache" is enabled ( Generally a Bad Idea for a General Purpose Computer in the 1st Place ), it will still be frequently flushing the cache to disk. RAM Disks are still perfect for use by some applications depending on how they are written.

Actually, It's not very doable for anything but the smallest of companies without extremely heavy use of Virtualization, Citrix, and similar solutions. Even RedHat pulled out of the Corporate Desktop Market. Even Linux Companies do not espouse Linux as a Desktop Standard for Corporations...

Fresh Windows Install Applications

Definitely AV and SpyWare 1st. Even Big Sites like MS have been sort of hijacked with "Ads" that don't look like ads and then take you to a Malware site. Most of the Biggies have been mentioned.

freeware alternative to dameware?

VNC does not require the user to download anything. It requires a single install and can be setup to allow remote access w/o the users clicking anything. In fact its commonly used to connect to devices w/o anyone even there. And yes, VNC can be pused so a user does not need to do anything.

Formatting in Corel WordPerfect is KILLING ME, please help

File Compression - Need Help

If .7z is only taking it down to 5.6, you won't find anything to drop it to 4gb. Consider using the File Splitter Option so you can split the Zip across multiple DVDs.

Sorry, X38 and X48 both use PCI-E 2.0 and can run 16x by 16x. The P45 splits a Single PCI-E 2.0 so each runs at 8x Some Review Sites such as Tweaktown notice a degradation on the P45 with the 4850s whith high settings. I can only assum the 4870s would see even more degradation. If...

Changing web server from port 80 to something else

As others have noted, "Obscure" does not do much for security. As second issue is that someplace may only allow a limited number of ports in/out. So if you start running on non-standard port numbers, there is a chance you Boss could setup on some network where he could not access your server.
