Went to ai tweaker and set xmp profile and timings were displayed. Still got the black screen on cod5. Dropped the card to the next pci-e blue slot and there was a DirectX error. Did run dxdiag and the card was not recognized in that slot??? Didn't bother going to the last white...

Exactly, I replied and said I have one card and I am not running in SLI. I amd going to start by plugging the power into a different modular plug on my psu and than start moving the card into diffrent pci slots... i do have an ancient evga ti200 card in my other pc.

Thanks for the response...Ok, I am at work...I saved to desktop and unzipped the file a folder comes up with a bunch of files, such as readme..ect. do I look for a run or setup file and unzip that... what are the exact instructions to create an ISO so I am doing it right? I pulled up my NERO...

Memtest86, made a cd from ISO and set boot in bios... how does it load... i turned the pc on it loaded from the os. On top of that, when I opened the cd contents the files are still in a folder and zipped??? Ended up using Driver Cleaner Pro 1.5 to remove just the 182.06 and downloaded from...

Thanks, I run Prime95 and post the results. One of the first things I did was to right click my computer and hit properties and it showed 6G recognized.

My system is stock, haven't tried oc'ing yet. I have not used prime95, how do I run that program? Only have been running triple channel corsair dominator 2G x 3 and have not tried single channel, to do so whould I leave one stick in the first orange slot? I have not tried to check...

Mobo advice for a new i7 system?

That's correct about the Micro Centers having them for $229. In store pick up only, I was lucky enough to have a friend near one and with tax the 920 was out the door for 238. My P6T mobo was 215 free s/h with the egg.

Just oc'd the card for the first time via evga precision tool, did a furmark bench at 60,000ms and had score 6383; min fps 85 avg 105, and max 140. running Directx 9. i didn't recall the game asking to down load Directx when I installed it yesterday. Don't have my older games.

Thank you for your reply Thor, no it's the vanilla. Bios downloaded from the CD. Edit: just looked at the Asus site and it appears that bios 0306 is the 1203 release but it came out a few days before. Ok, saved version 0306 to desktop and extracted the file with ASUS updater on the cd...

Just built my pc i7 with the ASUS P6T mobo a few days ago and when I installed COD5 a couple of days ago and attempted to play the game it crashed right after loading the mission and before I could play the game. That what was when I noticed that the epu-6 engine wasn't recognizing the card...
