Thanks for the informative reply Lopri. Yah I just thought it was weird for the system to be stable at stress for much higher fsb but cannot wake up from sleep. This is my budget build so I will consider a better motherboard in the future. The board does have many voltage control options but I...
I have a Q8200 / GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L setup. It overclocks pretty well, from 2.33GHz to 3.1GHz at stock voltage, stable 12hr by OCCT. My problem is, anything at 2.8GHz (7x400, Mem:FSB 1:1) or higher, both Windows 7 and Vista SP1 will freeze after sleep. What could be the cause?
Basically same price AR if you pick them up from frys (including newegg's shipping). Both yellow and red available.

That sucks. Does it lite up at all? I had a problem at first, but it was my fault because the memory was not press in well enough. Mine and Zap's were fine.
Some updates on the OC, I max at 3.7ghz in terms of stability with e5200. This is due to limited voltage settings. It is fine with...
I have no problem on this board with an e5200. Running stable at 3.7ghz on stock cooler now (1.31V). I am sure I can get it to 4ghz if I bump the voltage up to 1.4V. The problem I am having is that I cannot find the speedstep in the bios, only in the manual.
Great review. I finally had time to play with the P5KPL-AM/PS and an intel e5200 too.
In terms of overclocking, I find the setup stable (OCCT in Windows 7) with stock h/s on load at 58-62C...
3.4ghz (272x12.5) at default cpu voltage 1.25V (max OC at 1.25V)
