How many times has Wolfenstein froze on you??

Only happened on the multiplayer player so far. But I have only played about a 45 minutes in single player. I usually happens on the map loading screen - not during game play. It happened once on the main menu screen. My computer is a P3 700@1050 or 933 (happened on both) and a GeForce2. I...

How many times has Wolfenstein froze on you??

...I'm going on 4 times in only 1 day of playing :( Its always a hard freeze, WinXP's "this program screwed up" box shows but the mouse doesnt work. Ended my week of uptime too. Anybody else having these problems? Here is a screen capture of a more interesting one. Bryan

Logitech XP Drivers

Didn't see this posted yet... It seems Logitech released a new version of their MouseMan software. The Win2k one's wouldnt work with WinXP. Hopefully I can regain use of the thumb botton now! I havent tried these yet, let us now how they come out. Here Bryan

WinXP Zip Icon

I was messy around in XP's file icon tab and I manage to screw up my zip file icon. I looked throught shell32.dll and didnt see it. Anybody tell me in what file its in, row and column would be nice too!! :) Bryan

What does port 162 do exactly? I know it refred as SNMPtrap, but what does it do? Looking at my Linksys router's log, I keep noticing it from a fellow DSL user. Report to my ISP? Bryan

Anyone else using MSN Messenger seeing this?

I have been able to logon w/o any problems, but all my contacts are gone. Strangely, my friend didnt lose any of his contacts and when he signed in, I got a Add New Contact box. My guess is that the older accounts lists arent up just yet, or so I hope Bryan

What does this mean?

I was fooling around w/ RouterRooter, a little util that lets you see incoming/outgoing connections on a Linksys router. Well, I noticed an incoming connection from one of my ISP's DNS server on port 53 to my computer on port 2001(which is forwarded to my computer), which I have my FTP server...

DSL Question

I'm paying for 256/128kb DSL but I, seemily, my DSL is uncapped. I have downloaded files at 225KB and upload at around 50KB. What is going on here?? Did my ISP/Phone company set up my line incorrectly?? Bryan

Home Network Help?!

Buying another computer to use ICS isnt really temping. I really dont want to buy another IP. So that leaves me with a router. But which one? The 3 main ones seem to be : Netgear RT314, Linksys BEFSR41, or the SMC SMC7004BR. Bryan

What is a patch cable??

A patch cable is the one that you would use to connect a from a hub to a computer right aka straight though cable? A crossover cable would be used in connecting 2 computers directly together? Bryan

Cisco 675 Power Unit

Thanks!! A crossover only if I use the modem in bridging mode, right? If I connect my modem to a hub or swith, I can use a 'regual' cat5 cable if I plug it into the unlink port? Bryan

Cisco 675 Cable Question

Hey, I got an Cisco 675 but it didnt come with an ethernet cable. In the manual, I noticed that the cat5 cable shown has a cylinder thing on one end. Is this a must have or with a 'normal' ethernet cable work fine? Thanks Bryan

More RAM = Slowness

I added 128MB more ram to my system and now it seems much more slugess. When I open up any probaby, my mouse gets gerky and lots of things take twice as long to load up. I now have 256MB RAM, both sticks are the same (Crucial PC133 Cas2). Putting just one stick in at a time solves the problem...

Pics Let's see...I added a 120mm in the front, a 80mm over my video card/CPU, and a 92mm over the PS. Keeps everything nice and cool..and not too loud. I used a jig saw on the 120mm and hole saw on the other two. The metal on the case is a b*tch to cut, although I was using an cheap power drill...
