My HDD light won't stop blinking - and games won't stop hanging - how the heck can I diagnose this prob???

well hey, that's a great idea - only no matter which system restore point I try to use, going back up to a month, upon reboot it says "no changes have been made to your system because it cannot restore from this point". damn..

So who has Madden 2004, and how do you like it?

honestly, I'm disappointed. NCAA 2004 is loads better. looks better plays better.... just plain better. if you really want NFL action I guess it's the way to go but if you have any interested in NCAA football, I'd recommend it 30x over.

where's the best place to get audio cables??

I need a nice long cable with 2 x RCA 1/8" male plugs on one end and 2x 1/4" plugs on the other. I need it to be like 30-40 feet at least.... but the only places I can find one online, it's like 15 feet max.. does anyone know of cable speciality shop or something?? please help!

so now I have it back to the drive simply not showing up in windows, or showing up as an unformatted drive and having it ask me to format it....... can anyone give me some general tips for getting windows to recognize what's really on the drive?

I can only see the contents of my hard drive in safe mode!! windows normal tells me to format it!!

lots of resets, switching in/out of safe mode, scandisk, defrag, some other IDE utils, and a lot of praying :D

okay so I restarted again, and chkdsk popped up and scanned the drive for errors and all, (it even read the correct disk label!!) and then it scanned the directory and file #'s, which looked right, and said the drive was working again or somesuch, and then it restarted back into regular...

I have an A7v8x -- 3 hard drives, two cd-rom, how can I make this work??

Hey guys.. so I have an a7v8x, which has those additional RAID ports.. but I have no idea how to use them.. is there any way I can plug just one extra drive in? I have 3 hard drives and 2 cdroms and really don't want to give any of them up, does anyone have a suggestion?
