Battlefield 4 unplayable at 200% resolution scale?

I play with a 7990 - 1080p resolution scale at 150% all ULTRA settings... 80+FPS. Will dip at times, but damn its a pleasure to look at and play. EDIT: haven't tried 200% yet, have been working my way up -

bf4 settings

Agreed - I did this, Win7 64bit - game is BUTTER smooth. I don't think I have played a game with the pleasure it brings me now. I noticed a difference when un parking the cores on my i7 930. HD 7990 - 13.11, BETA 7 drivers. Ultra everything in game, scaling at 150% and I am still pulling...

AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta8 Driver Available

RAM upgrade for my ESXi server

Yea---how big do u need the environment to be? Example: I run XenServer and picked up a killer Dell 1U server, Dual L5520, 72Gb ram for $429. Now, I have a full Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop - VDI environment, wyse clients that I have setup for home use, and I am just about done with the 72GB...

AMD Catalyst 13.10Beta2

Crap drivers for my 7990. It disabled one of my GPU's. I go back to the 13.9 WHQL drivers and we are good to go. I install another BETA and it does the same thing. I'm not statring to wonder if I have other issues. I have ULPS disabled, and with the 13.9 drivers, I get both GPU's working, yet...

I'm using a 7990 - Upgraded to the new BETA Drivers - Umm, yea it disabled one GPU. So I was in essence running a 7970 and still getting up to 60 FPS, ULTRA everything. 1920 X 1080 mind you. Gonna re-install drivers today, try others if needed and see if we get a better result.

How many virtual machines can I run?

Its quite easy: Go buy a server with 2 X Xeon Quad's with hyperthreading (or AMD chips) and 72Gb or more of Ram. Dedicate it with a Type 1 hypervisior of your choice, XenServer, Xen, Esxi or Type 2 - MS Hyper-V. Happily run a ton a VM's - as i just did.

Simple reliable NAS

I just posted something very similar a couple of weeks back - Freenas - if u have the hardware, its cheap, easy and so far for me very reliable. I have setup shares to users, CIFS ISO library to my XenServer. I love it. :)

Want to build a VM lab environment, but use it also as a home PC

Honestly, the best way..... seperate Box with a Hypervisior, be it XenServer, Esxi or Hyper-V. I have a Citrix environment at home on XenServer (free version) and run all W2K8R2 boxes needed, along with Virtual Netscaler, etc. Point is, I use an FX-8120 / MB / 32GB / 1TB HDD - and it cost...

How is everyone with X-fire? When I started Tuesday night - I had Excellent frames with my 5970 - way over 100 - as of today, its as if X-fire is disabled... only registering 30 - 60 fps...

Yea, Caspian Border is awesome - Metro, uhhh. Probably will not play that in the actual game. I still say we need to remember it is BETA and exacly that for this purpose and all these comments.

Yea, I have the 11.9 installed already from the Guru, works great! BFBC2 runs great! Off to 11.10, for my BF3 Beta gaming tonight :)

AMEN brutha! I have a project that I was looking to go c32, two 6-core. Now with this, one of these 8 core's at 3ghz, outstanding! I didnt need 12 cores, but needed more than 6, user scale. I think this is bl&^dy awesome!
