Does anyone have any experience with either of these NAS? I am having a difficult time deciding which is "better". I like the Synology for its easy-to-use "Synology Hybrid RAID" technology, and its user interface seems a lot more friendly. However, I like the QNAP for its large number of USB and...
How were you able to install it last night given that it was available for download at 6AM in Pacific Time in the US? Did you get it somewhere else? Was it the Developer Preview or the Consumer Preview?
I took some pictures yesterday under low incandescent light that looked blurred or out of focus. I wasn't sure the proper settings to use so I set my 50mm f/1.8 to 2.8 and let the camera decide on the shutter speed at 1/25. This lens take wonderful pictures in daylight outdoor, but it didn't...
I found the product at http://www.nanotec-usa.com/id20.html
but would be interested to know if anyone has experience with this product compared to Aquapel (which I have never used either).
This person is asking for $250 for the entire set. How much do you I think I can bargain it for first offer? It looks very good including all the weights.

All major antivirus programs require UAC confirmation ONLY at first installation, for installing the service. Which reputable antivirus program requires UAC at every start-up?
I have Avira Antivir installed on my laptop and Eset NOD32 on my desktop, but they don't require any UAC...
If it's extremely hot, then maybe the thermal paste/pad is actually doing an excellent job conducting heat ONTO the heatsink from the bridge? You would think that old thermal paste would result in cooler heatsink, unless my logic is wrong somewhere.
That seems like the perfect bag being discrete and has enough room for a second lens (even if it's small). I think most people would just think it's a messenger bag rather than some expensive camera and lens inside.
My interpretation from the clause:
escort = to assist or protect another person from a different vehicle. This is similar to cruisers, destroyers, and air-support escorting an aircraft carrier. These escorts don't transport the carrier themselves.
transport = to assist or protect another...
C:\Windows\system32>powercfg -lastwake
Wake History Count - 0
C:\Windows\system32>powercfg -devicequery wake_armed
(empty space here, so no device is set to wake)
The wake count is zero probably because I always jumped off my bed and held down the power button before it could fully...
Background:
Vista Ultimate, while in Hibernation, wakes up randomly from time to time during the middle of the night. Imagine a roaring desktop waking up at 2am or 4am in the morning. Just last night, the desktop woke up at 3:00am on the dot from hibernation. I have no idea why this is...
Is that even possible on a consistent basis? It usually takes me at least 30 min if I try hard enough.
I go to bed between 10-11pm and wake up at 6am for a quick shower and then head to work at 6:45am. I usually get there at 7:15am later if there's traffic. It's technically an 8am-5pm...
My sim card can hold 30 text msg at any given time. It would seem any new messages are stored in the sim card. Once the limit is reached, it seems any new msg are discarded even after I free them.
Is there any way to store new txt msg on the phone's internal memory instead by default? I...
Refer to the infected drive:
I have encountered the situation where the Windows logs off immediately after logging on. This is usually due to a changed registry key. You need to first make sure the \Windows\System32\userinit.exe file is genuine fby checking its file properties on the...
I used to make a partition for most of everything including os, programs, games, data, but I soon realized it was just a waste of time and messy. Now, my main hard drive has a 50GB OS partition and the remaining 200-something is for storage. The other two hard drives have just one main...
I filled in the word "year," since it didn't make sense otherwise. The actual law should be clearly phrased, so it's the journalist fault for paraphrasing it incorrectly.
I got the Masscool in black (not white as seen in the picture). I have used it continuously for an hour to clone a 2.5 SATA hard drive and also to recover a 2.5 PATA hard drive. It also worked perfectly with my old PATA DVD drive.
Given a choice now, I would probably get the Newer...
I have just reinstalled my Vista Ultimate and need a new av. For the past few years, I have been using NOD32 v2.70 excusively. My license for NOD32 has expired, and I don't need the security suite. Firewall is taken care with Agnitum Firewall with lifetime updates.
It seems Avira Personal...
The only house insurance we don't currently have is earthquake. A quote we got was approximately $500 annually.
* Purchased in 2000 for 165K, still on mortgage, current appraisal is about 360K
* Built in the 1940s, all new electrical systems
* Renovated in 2000 from prior owner (new roof...
24 here.
I will be the youngest engineer when I start on 03/02 for my group. Everyone there has at least 20+ years of experience in the industry (who had worked with Intel, IBM, etc...), so I feel like a 'baby' in that respect. Plus, most of the engineers there are at least 45. Some are...
bobdole369, thanks for the detailed explanation. You cleared up a lot of the questions I was having.
I also ordered the Understanding Exposure book linked earlier. Waiting for some good reading and practice...
Does stopping down to f/2.8 also creates a larger DOF?
If so, how do we get sharper pictures with shallower DOF? Better lens?
In general, are we supposed to test and memorize the sharpest aperture for a given focal length? I'm not sure if that make any sense, because I have problems...
