Shuttle SN95G5, dual channel DDR?

I have bought the SN95G5 couple weeks ago, along with Athlon 64 3000+. Right now, I am only using one piece of 512 MB DDR. I'd like to know if I go and buy a stick of 1GB DDR, would that form a dual channel? So basically, would 512MB+1GB forms a dual channel? Alfred

how do I get more then 12.5X on athlon xp?

I have been running my new Tbred-A XP 1700 on Asus A7V 1.02 (VIA KT133) at the speed of 1716Mhz (17*101). Basically what I did was to cut the right-most L1 bridge (If I recall correctly), then I sent my multiplier thru my onboardf dipswitch to 17x, (I set to 9x, since I have cut the bridge, it...

Well, I have been thinking about that too, but I didn't hear any story about that yet, so I feel hesitate to do so. The thing I worry is that I don't know if I can manually set the multiplier if I cut the last L3 bridge. Alfred

It works, but not at full speed. My A7V 1.02 with 1012 beta 001A bios works fine with the new thoroughbred XP 1700+. Mine is running at 100*12.5=1250mhz since that's the maximum multiplier I can achieve. I was trying to enable the "high bit" of the cpu, but so far it was unsuccessful. I...

Run a Duron 800 fanless?

You may try to unlock the duron and downclock it to 500Mhz, it may helps the situation since the heat dissipation is lower.

I am using the hacked bios now, lower my idle temp from 50C>34C! No sound corruption on my duron system, no stability problem, no problems AT ALL. The thing that author did is to enable the two greyed-out option enable by default. No report on fail up to this point, check the comments here...

Don´t buy new motherboard, just go and flash A7V with A7V133 newest bios. See detail here I did that already, it boost memory performance, without loosing any stability. Alfred
