Yeah,because these are dual core chips... I bet i5 2400 or similiar chips on cheap mobo where you cant overclock are gonna be faster then overclocked fx8120 or 8150 !

I doubt you can say FX8120 is in the same category as i5 if i3 is going to be as fast as FX8120. Why dont you test FX8120 vs i3 2100 you may be suprised. Like I said,i5 2400 is Core i5 CPU and is certanly better in,as far as I know,same price category as fx 8120.

$500 for a Monitor

I dont know what kind of basic dell you have,but IMHO best 24" monitor is Dell UltraSharp U2410. It is IPS panel with 12 bit color per channel,and it's not that expensive...around your budget...$50 more or less depends where you shop

You are really clueless. i5 uses new architecture,and is much faster per clock then core 2 quad. It's pretty much same thing as i7,just without HT. It's not same thing as core 2 quad but with ddr3 memory by any stretch of imagination

UPDATE: 5850 vs 5870 vs 4870 CF

There is lots of games which wont reach 60 fps even with 5870 if you put all other settings on max,and only disable AA Some of them : Crysis Armed Assault 2 Cryostasis ( only when physx is enabled...so I dont know how this fit into list since you asked about radeon card ) There is even more...

Crisium,thanks for the links. That caught fps drops pretty good,but like I said,it gets worse more you play the game Also,if only they used 8X AA with 1920 res they would get same fps drop they got with higher res and 4x AA SlowSpyder,I already offered insight :) NWN2 is one of the few games...

This issue can't really be seen on bencmarks for several reasons. First,fps drops wont happen as soon as you start the game.You need to play a little before card runs out of video ram. Most benchmarks are not done that way. Second,issue is only present with AA used,because AA uses a lot of...

I really think it's your ram. You cant overclock the system with configuration like that.It's not overclock friendly at all. First,it's best to use only 2 sticks when overclocking not 4 as it makes the memory more stable.And you even use different memory modules.... You will need atleast +0.3...

Hm I just saw you have 6gb...that's very strange combination for c2q system..you should have either 4 or 8 gb...this means you cant use dual channel afaik... Is it 3x2gb ? You are probably better off just using 2x2gb and selling one 2 gb stick as your pc will work faster that way

I am not sure if my problem is dithering or anti glare.Any way to confirm this ? Like I said its static problem which looks like dirt / dust.It's not regular meaning it looks like small patches of dirt,dithering I presume should be more evenly spread ?

Hm,I am pretty sure its not color depth.I see that problem too,and its called color banding.Basically,mostly in dark areas,you can see transition between the colors,its not as smooth as it should be as these cheap TN panels use 6 bit per RGB instead of 8. I dont think what I am seeing is...
