One scenario where I notice a big difference is when I read text while scrolling, like reading this forum while constantly slowly scrolling.
I have a 60HZ screen next to a 144 Hz Gsync monitor and the last one is usable and the other clips and stutters to much to be able to read the text. But I...
I chose 1440p 144Hz recently over 4k 60Hz. And fluidity is more important for me, but I will be thinking about getting a 4k monitor for productivity later on
The biggest bonus of Steam (and similar) is that you don't need to save the medium.
For you it seems like downloading 60GB (59GB for me when I downloaded) is a big deal, and I would have bought a physical copy if you can live with taking care of of your physical copy.
I don't know, they don't state how they measure frame times. But they add their subjective observations as well about how they game was perceived, but they are still in swedish :(

The test is in swedish, but you can use google translate. Sweclockers i very favourable of the monitor as it is a gaming screen that can do everything else as well.
I remember the same for the geforce fx 5xxx series

not meant as a pun against nVidia, instead meant as a pun against this kind of marketing.
I almost waited to by a nVidia card because of these statements until someone told me to get my head out...
I get that it's how it usually is done in a lot of companies, but ideally they should have instructed their representatives.
And how hard can it be for a company to be prepared. It don't take much insight to see that people would start to contact MSI and ask about if there is something bad...
Does it matter to the end user if MSI is using a 3rd party to represent them or not?
Shouldn't they make sure their support and PR network is up to date on what they should say to the end user no matter if they are in house or hired?
Isn't that something to hold against MSI, shouldn't they be professional enough to instruct their PR-representation and not leave them to make their own judgements?
Interesting, it seems like it they could just as well have dropped the last .5GB of VRAM.
The article also mentions the 660Ti with it's 2 GB of VRAM on 192 bit bus. It would have been interesting if someone would review the card again and see if it looses more performance now than it's bigger...
I would like OP being able to set what kind of discussions a thread can have besides the topic.. If they want a technical discussion or a opinion based one for example. Or a requirement for the discussion that statements will be backed up by links to a reliable source.
The reason is that a lot...
With you experiment you would see that the 1st heatpipe would get much hotter than the other connected to it.
It helps to have them as they will cool the 1st heatpipe, but not as well as sharing the direct heat from the torch.
I have no idea about how big a difference there would be, but with...
Sorry about not reading the links. Agree that they are just a lot of words. But still, everybody, as debated here, thinks that vaporware is a product that is just a lot of talk but don't turn up. And it's a strongly negative word. Lets wait a few months before throwing that around.
And G-sync...
How can an announcement about a product being released next month end up in stupid discussions like this?
About vaporware when a version i going to be released ahead of schedule, or at least at the best time estimate ( I think they said to be released in 6-9 months)
And about vendor lock, when...
the gtx 970 have models (ASUS Stix, and some of the others) that don't use the fan until it hits some threshold (about 65°C), so as long as you do the tasks you describe it will be as good as a fanless GPU.
But I am not sure if you need as much GPU-power to do the needs you describe.
I agree with it being a step forward, but what's sad is that it looks to be a stagnant top performance.
It's been so long since the last time there where a big improvement increase. I think that is the big issue, no real performance increase gets a lot of enthusiasts frustrated.
The thing is that nVidia could use a-sync and the new option in the DP standard to make a variable framerate solution but AMD can't use the G-sync sollution.
And I as a customer want a product that don't lock me to one GPU vendor.
Are you shure, from what I heard the real next gen games will wait untill 2016. ;)
Anyway, I think W3 looks great, but whats more important is that the gameplay looks promising. And hopefully that will be the trend that graphics are good and story and gameplay becomes more important.
Have people now changed their attitude towards Titan Black and the 999$ price. Will the Titan Z make that ridiculous price seem right?
I know if you just look at the numbers this makes 295x2 seem like a bargain, but you still get two 290x in xfire for quite a bit less. For me the only things...
For Windows 7) Go to "C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\Watch_Dogs\*\GameProfile.xml" (Or figure out where GameProfile.xml is stored in your PC) and open this GameProfile.xml in text editor like Notepad."
In '<GameProfile....</GameProfile>' change "Sensitivity=" to 1, "UseMouseSmooth=" to...
My issues with the game is also like most others. Car driving is just silly, I feel like I am riding a soap bare and hoping to not crash into too much.
And the police AI. I tried to play nice, not drawing weapons and hiding sneaking. But the go bananas as soon as they spot you, and they show...
I think WD looks good. And it runs nicely, but with some stuttering on my GTX780@1440. But there seem to be other things they have forgotten that's more important than graphics, like car physics and GUI for mouse and keyboard.
I think it's great if they add texture for GPUs with 3+GB VRAM. I would be happy if they added texture maps for 6GB of VRAM as well even if I can't use it in a few years.
The only problem I would have is if they take shortcuts and makes bad texures for low VRAM cards.
And I very much agree with...
Either one of the top three would be my choice, probably the one from MSI because of the price.
I don't like the cooler on the one from PNY and wouldn't chose that one if you don't need a blower.
You keep forgetting other important parts of the GPU performance. It would be incredible complex and pricy to add the memory for a GPU like GK100 in an APU. I think we are far longer into the future before that will happen.
And then Intel have to take the cost of the driver team to start...
Well you could be doing 4-way 780 for less than 3-way 780Ti's.
It might be that 4-way780 is so close in performance to 4-way 780Ti that it wouldn't be any point going with the 780Ti. But then again if the economy is no hinder the 780TI seems pointless too compared to Titan. I would guess the 6GB...
