Are 3D TVs Worth It?

I'm debating on buying a new television. In terms of the new 3D televisions out right now, I'm debating on whether I should take the leap or just stick with a standard LED television without 3D. What are your experiences? Is it worth it or is it something that's going to die out like HD DVD?

PS3 vs. Xbox 360...which should I get? (non-gamer)

PS3 definitely. I have it setup to play all my content: Hulu, Netflix, NAS drives. One thing I would like though is the ability to play SRT files, which both cannot do at the moment. This is when my Lenovo Q150 with XBMC comes in to play.

I don't see a point in having 2. There is an advantage in using detection software such as Prevx to run along with your current antivirus.

Is PrevX 3.0 "good" or "bad" anti-malware?

Prevx is awesome. My friend got a trojan from his trip back from China and NOD32 and Kaspersky could not remove it, but Prevx did. Now I keep it on all my systems as a complement to NOD32.

Super slow internet?

Though highly unlikely, you could try upgrading the firmware and see if that works. What you're really going to have to do is plug it in the router and see if it is still slow.

is Powerline Networking a good solution to wireless

Back then for me, the problem with powerline networking was that for old houses, the power inside the walls may be routed differently. So, for example it may work perfectly upstairs, but when configured downstairs, it ceased to work. Stick with wireless, it's just better overall.

SATA -> PATA Adapter

They work, especially for DVRs (used one myself), but the one I used I bought from PI Manufacturing. Very cheap solution and it's nice that it's RoHS compliant as well.

Who is going to keep using XP because they can't afford to upgrade to Win7

I'm going to upgrade to Windows 7. I've used XP since like forever, completely skipped Vista (too slow and not much of an upgrade), but from what I was told, Windows 7 is much faster than XP. As for the cost, I heard a family pack was only around 135

What is the most noob-friendly fighting game you can think of?

Try going with Street Fighter IV. It kind of goes back to the old Street Fighter days ... less combos. Either that, or just go with Soul Calibur IV. You really can't go wrong with any of those.

Kaspersky or NOD32. Both are equally as good. My desktop uses NOD32 and my laptop uses Kaspersky. NOD32 is considerably cheaper though.

Which AV would you use?

Avira PE since it's free and has less bloat than McAfee. McAfee detection rates aren't that high anyways. I believe for the VB100% tests, it fails sometimes.
