Agreed. I am not experienced enough to start an optimization/installation thread for the Intel SSDs but maybe some of our resident geniuses could do so. It would be a very valuable contribution to this forum.
Is the X25 the right SSD for a fileserver serving 3 client PCs in an office environment? Currently using a 74 gig Raptor with one partition for OS and the other for data. Will fit perfectly on the X25-M 80 gig.
Fortuitously logged onto Newegg and tried to order 4 of the X-25M 80 drives. Limited to one. When they get them again can I order another or will they check my account? Now supposed to be available on 9/2. I was lucky to get the order I got.

Puget just sent me the drive. It is my understanding in order to use it I have to set the BIOS to the AHCI setting. Is it necessary to format the drive?

Thanks for the translation. Assuming there is an Intel update, I think that it will coincide at latest with Win 7 final release. I really want to buy this product for several PCs but the cost is still high and dropping. I think I will wait for update.
