Sigh... Vega 64 dissapointment..

Yes thats what the flickering looks like on the Vega 64, i had the same thing flickering when you end turn and fps drops to 7-9 or something as the cpu does its turns... But when FPS came back up after end turn.. freesync would continue to flicker.. it wouldnt stop LOL.. it did this in world of...

Sigh... Vega 64 dissapointment..

This isnt a flicker when under Freesync ranges.. my monitors range is 48-144hz for freesync.. in wolfenstein 2 i capped fps to 143 because i got over 140 with Vega 64, and guess what sit there on the Evas hammer "submarine base" in a spot getting say 115fps and the monitor flickers.. Hell IT...

Are these caps still good?

Just get the names of the caps.. and buy new ones.. Caps are like 10 cents each online depending what you get and using a soldering iron to remove and reinstall them is easy

Oops bought a nvidia card should i return it for vega 64.. Seriously

So i think i broke my motherboard! replacement?

I dunno if this was mentioned but arctic silver 5 is non conductive.. If you get paste on the cpu pins it doesn't cause shorts... This was discussed like 15 years ago... Maybe some of you are too young to remember or weren't in PC's back then... But people used to get AS5 under graphics card...

E8400 Question?

You dont need to up the voltage to overclock an E8400. Itll go pretty high before a voltage increase.. My E8400 FYI has been overclocked to 4.4ghz for like 3 years now.. lol its so fast i havent found the need to upgrade it yet.. My system runs skyrim maxed out at 60fps 1680x1050 4xAA...

AMD APU A8-3870k Overheating

if its any coralation my A6 in my laptop gets around 62c stock speeds, and overclocked to 2.6ghz at 1.2v it gets up to 80c when playing games... However if i keep it down to 2ghz at 1.12v it stays around 70c.. I dunno if 70 is too hot or not. I know GPU's can handle high temps easily, but...

Got the 2nd stick its a pny stick so they are mismached by brand.. wow it was deff the single channle that was the bottleneck. Duel channle my fps in skyrim has gone up 100% litterally. I used to get 25fps on my savepoint with 1280x720 medium details no AA no AF and now im getting 48fps...

yes i overclocked it to 2.5ghz, i can get much further then that but anything higher and the cpu gets too hot. Guess ill grab a 2nd stick of ram and see what happens to the performance and if it doesnt help ill just return it and come payday use he money towards a better laptop
